Re: Add oil instead of changing oil

On my '98 SL2, I pretty much used Walmart Supertech synthetic, the longer Purolator Pure One PL20195 filters, and had to add 3~9 ounces of oil every week to keep the oil just over the FULL line. ...

Re: Air conditioner barely blowing.

Richpin has an EGR-cleaning video, too.

If you can replace the ECTS, you can clean the EGR :)

Removing the EGR is just a few 10mm bolts and an electrical connector, and most of the cleaning...

Re: Brake Rotor Recommendations?

I think I've read that some folks ran flexible tubing from the front to the brakes to provide cooling air. No idea if that actually works or not.

Re: Will switching from conventional to synthetic hurt my SL2?

I remember reading speculation in the late '80s that the feds would require synthetic oils (and possibly ban conventional) in the near future.

The market was generally unenthusiastic about...

Re: Losing coolant over time

I would look at the radiator fan operation and ECTS first, and possibly the cap for the tank.

You should see a low coolant light before it gets low enough to cause any problems.

But if you...
