Re: 1995 SL2: Various questions about transmission

Whoa, maybe you first need to tell us the condition of the transmission fluid.
When was the last time it and the spin on filter were changed?
What level and color is the dexron III (only) fluid now?

Re: message to Charlie

Are you accessing via a smartphone, or keyboard, and is it always the same keyboard? Maybe it has a bad key, OR some food stuff corrupting its movement?

Re: AC issue - need advice please

Chub, pressures reported as: 50 on High side, 40 on the Low suction side.
50 is not a high value, but is way low.

Re: AC issue - need advice please

Sounds like time for a replacement AC compressor. :(, if indeed the clutch is kicking in.
Does the clutch ever cycle off, probably not....

Re: AC issue - need advice please

What is the ambient temp you are working with?
What did the High side read at 2000 rpm?
What did the Low side read at 2000 rpm?
Sometimes, you need to swish the can in warm water or of course cup...

Re: Fuel injector

That's a good find, however, in your first post, you stated:

"With engine running (missing on #1) I can cycle the injector with a pigtail and the engine will smooth out."

So, I took it to mean...

Re: Automatic Transmission Whine

When it is up on the jack stands, if it was summat with the starter, it sure would be an obvious noise right there, and that spur gear would be so hot it would heat up that starter casing and that...

Re: Automatic Transmission Whine

Is this a new car for you, or someone you know?
Is there a way for you to record the sound, since it happens even in park?

Re: Ticking from engine at idle

$3.88 for a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil is a whole lot cheaper than Seafoam at 16 ounces! Even said, that's why I use ordinary Dexron III instead. Probably would have reduced your ticking looooong...

Re: Dashboard lifting fix?

Say chip707, ... I don't know where you are in the USA, but OldNuc's part numbers on that website shows 15 places have anywhere from 1 to 10 of them.

Actually, they don't have the original ...19...

Re: Fuel injector

If all you are missing is an injector pulse then you are only left with the injector wiring and the computer. I would try to find a good used one.

These guys have a good wiring diagram for a 1994...

Anyone check for valve cover seal issues?
With engine idling, using a spray can of brake cleaner, or the like, spray along the entire outer rim of the valve cover. If there is a vacuum leak, the...

Re: Timing belt

A slapping/loud clacking that never stops.
If you keep up with oil changes, and never let it get below the dipstick I would not worry about changing it at any interval (except at engine rebuild...

Re: Cracked head?

Its nice that the previous owner was honest about the car needing a new head and not giving out that it could be fixed with like JB Weld (which can't help).

Re: Dashboard lifting fix?

Is the dash really redone with a metallic flake paint, or are those speckles just because of the camera flash?
It would look great if it were the entire dash.

Re: Cracked head?

Spraying out?
Maybe the previous owner was guessing, or mistaken or correct?

I doubt that if the AC compressor were damaged somehow, that even that would not cause it to spray out PAG oil and...
