Re: 1999 SC2 manual with seized engine

Look up Cleggengine.com

I've bought from them a couple of times and the parts are always top quality name brands. They are great to work with if you don't see exactly what you need or want on...

Re: up shift light on all the time even when idie

OP didn't say if there was a check engine light on or not but might lend a clue if it is.

Could this be a map sensor issue? maybe unplugged.

Re: passenger side tire wear inside

Those arms will be somewhat weak if they've been bent and I'd recommend replacing the bent arm.

Either way you need an alignment. Even know what to adjust is just guessing unless you have the...

Re: EGR Removal?

Round flying saucer looking thing on the driver side of the valve cover.

If all else fails look up an egr on Rockauto or other fav on line parts place and they will normally show a picture of it....

Re: 2002 sc2 cam shaft sensor

So back to the primary issue at hand... it won't start. These are not really complicated engines so start with the basics, fuel and spark.

Pull the plug wires off the coils and have someone else...

I'd replace the heater hoses behind the motor while it was out.

Re: Sun Visor question

I did find visors some time ago and went with the 3 screw type that came in the later model saturns.

They are a bit bigger and overlap the indent in the headliner a bit but it's a small price to...

engine won't crank as in doesn't spin when you hit the starter?

Re: Extremely Poor Gas Mileage 1995 SW2 Auto

To clarify the temp gauge reading... for your 95 it should be within a needle width or so from the half mark. Being at 3/8 would concern me. If your fan is coming on at the 5/8 mark then I'd be...

Re: Temp gauge works, then doesnt, back and forth

seeing that you replaced the ETCS last year would make me suspect it right off. Since almost all parts are cheap imported junk I'd start there.

Re: sc2 wont start, how to jump starter from relay?

I'd jump between the top terminal on the starter to the small one with the purple wire. Doing so should engage the starter. If nothing happens it's new starter time.

The fact you had just replaced...

Re: 2002 SL won't pass smog with OBDII fail

Check the EGR port where it enters in the intake. This can become restricted with cooked on build up of oil.

Re: how to remove mangled oil filter

Doesn't the threaded part just screw into the back of the block. I believe the inside is a hex so an allen wrench in there should unscrew the entire mess from the block

once unscrewed from the...

Re: Engine knocking sound

Harmonic balancer bolt can be done by hand as well.

I've pulled a number of 5spd motors out the top but make it easy and pull motor and trans.

Re: '02 Saturn SL1 upgrade advice wanted

I average about 130 miles per day 5 days a week...

If you replace one outer tie rod then replace them both. They are cheap and you only have to get a front alignment once.

Tune up, new copper...

Re: 2001 SL1 fast idle and throttle sticking

I'm surprised no one has suggested cleaning the throttle body. Doing so will cure the sticky petal at least and may help the other issue as well
