Re: Saturn S Series Sunroof Guide Replacement (With Pictures)

Additional note: Be careful with the rear brake light wiring routing. It runs along the driver's side of the module toward the rear (pictured in step 22).

I didn't notice that I had pinched it...

Re: Crankshaft Relearn Procedure

Change and drive seems to have worked so far. But I have heard that a re-learn wouldn't happen with a SES light set. So until I swap out the cat for the P0420 code and clear it out, I don't know if...

Re: Crankshaft Relearn Procedure

I agree that the relearn probably needs to take place. My question is of the now three methods of re-learn (from costliest in time and dollars to least):

1. Saturn dealer uses Tech2 to relearn...

Crankshaft Relearn Procedure

I got a CPS by mail from saturnparts.net along with the gaskets for the valve cover (DOHC).

Re: Washing killed my car?

Well, I couldn't find the edit button. So to clarify, the oil leak I will be looking out for is that of the #1 cylinder mentioned earlier, as this would indicate something leaking from the valves or...

Re: Washing killed my car?

Sorry for the long delay. After replacing the PCV valve and the breather hoses, it ran fine. Still has the check engine code for the cat. But that will be in the mail next payday.

Re: Washing killed my car?

Well, driving back from dropping off the borrowed code reader from Checker, the car's engine light came on solid. Turned around and went back to Checker and it gave code P0420.

Re: Washing killed my car?

Well, my dad pulled the PCV valve while the engine was running. He held it in his hand, and covered the opening, and then let go again, repeating this several times.

After that, he put it back...

Re: Washing killed my car?

OK so I rented a scan tool from my local Checker (Shucks or Kragen depending on what part of the country you're in).

Whiz then Click Every 20 Seconds When AC Fan On

This occurs whether the A/C is on or off, and whether the...

Re: New to Saturn World, Couple Questions

OK, so I swapped out the ECTS (its easier than doing an oil change), and it made the car idle better, and run warmer. I will see if this improves gas mileage, although mpg was high 20's/ low 30's...
