Re: Took a gamble, bought a tech2 clone (Tech2Win)

Mine shows the same vehicle types. I get those red crosses too when I don't have the MDI plugged into the computer.

Re: Took a gamble, bought a tech2 clone (Tech2Win)

I'm not sure what the colors mean but the arrows animate when communication is happening between the car and VXDIAG, and the VXDIAG and the Tech2 software.

Any S-Series from 93-02 will work. IIRC, 91-92 Did't Have the option for rear discs.

EDIT: Totally miss read your post, thought you where converting to discs and needed the dust shield. Any year...

Re: Took a gamble, bought a tech2 clone (Tech2Win)

It was plugged into the computer but not the car. I didn't really feel like going out to the car that late. I assume if it got that far, it will work when actually want to use it.

Re: Took a gamble, bought a tech2 clone (Tech2Win)

XP was 32bit, Win10 is 64.

Is there a website to download the software from? If they did update it to 64bit then my CD with the software will probably only work on 32Bit

Edit: Finally dug out...

Re: Dead starter, but is it really the starter?

I was getting ready to have it towed when I noticed, lol. (Yay for AAA) I was thinking of using some plywood I have lying around, but that was long after I gave up for the night.

Re: Attention northerners....Winter wiper blade reccomendation?

I waxed my windshield over the summer. It was great for the rain, although probably wouldn't help much with snow/ice. Especially of you have to scrape your windshield every morning.

Dead starter, but is it really the starter?

November 2018, my original starter died. It decided one night in a Walmart parking lot it wasn’t going to crank. It did eventually come back to life, and I continued using it for about a week, but I...

Re: Attention northerners....Winter wiper blade reccomendation?

I bought some Peak “Snow Beast wiper blades” at the end of the summer when they where on sale. I haven’t had to use them in snow yet but they’re definitely better than the old non-beam style blade I...

Re: Bolt on hood struts

Yes, it replaces a fender and a hood bolt

Edit: If you're referring to what trottida did, that would require drilling new holes.

Re: Transmission Question

If only a piece of the diff pin broke off, you would still be able to shift at least somewhat. The transmission is dead either way though weather it was the whole pin or just a piece. There should be...

Re: Blowout!!!

As far as I know, my space had been used 3 times by me and twice by my father in the last 19 years. I wonder how much life it has left in it, lol.

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...
