The car was fantastic, even in 6" of driving snow. (yes, I know I said 3" earlier - that was when we got home. the 6" was in KY)

The engine turns just under 3k around 60, which is about the same...

Dad and I just finished a 2000 mile road trip in my Astra, and have no complaints. We had everything from sunny Florida skies to 3" of snow, and the car was a champ throughout.

OK, just got the door replaced today, and had to put fuel in, so I took a picture.

GM Sky Man - have you ever seen the fuel door on the Astra???

There is a tab that is on the inside of the door that sticks out about 1.5" I'd take a picture, but I'm trying not to mess with it any...

air pressure really depends on the tires. for street tires, the rule of thumb is enough pressure to keep the tire from rolling onto the sidewall. some white shoe polish along the edge of the tread...

There are a few non-synthetic oils that meet the spec specified for the Astra. I know my dealer filled the car with Mobil 1 @ the oil change.

While I'm only 95% sure that the Astra comes with synthetic from the factory, I'm 100% sure that the "2nd or 3rd oil change" mantra isn't correct anymore. The Corvette, all Porsches, the old Ion...
