Re: 2000 SL2 performance

No anything made for a 91-98 WONT work on your car. You need a 99+ 9 bolt header.

Re: 2000 SL2 performance

Ebay.

OBX makes a header for the 99+ DOHC.

And no offense man, but the search function is your friend, this crap has been covered a thousand times over.

But anyway, welcome and prepare to...

Re: 95 SL1 pretty screwed up..

If the car is dieseling its probably running overly rich as it has just enough unburnt fuel left to keep the engine running for a few sputters.

I would look into cleaning the intake tract out...

Re: Red fluid on the driveway

Do you hear a clicking sound when you try to start the car? Are the interior lights working? Do they dim when you turn the key?

I had the same thing happen to me once. Fluid all over... The...

Re: Red fluid on the driveway

Where is the trans fluid dripping from exactly? The oil cooler lines to the radiator? Or elsewhere?

Re: 97 SL2 Issues... Bucking, EGR?

no it wont.

only if the car is detonating below 3k. which is very unlikely.

Re: my 94 saturn problems

Pull your spark plugs so you can "read" them.

The symptoms you describe are somewhat indicative of a leaking cam cover gasket causing misfires.

Also, I would replace the spark plug wires and...

Re: PLXM 300 WBO2 Setup

There is no "normal" AFR.

Cruise is 14.7:1 if thats what you want to know.

Saturns make the most HP n/a in the hi 12:1 or low 13:1 range.

Re: PLXM 300 WBO2 Setup

The sensor will read richer than actual if you place it too close to the head. Its also too hot there for a heated sensor.

Your afr will be 200-300 rpm off, but Id trade that over having to...

Re: PLXM 300 WBO2 Setup

WRONG.

The wideband sensor needs to be at least 18" DOWNSTREAM of the head. Its a heated sensor and if you put it too close you will fry it, not to mention that it wont read correctly.

Re: 97 SL2 Issues... Bucking, EGR?

I would look into your fuel pump.

Test your fuel pressure.

With the car at idle it should stay a constant 38psi, ot thereabouts.

97 was a bad year for the fuel pump thingy.
