Re: Will other model steering wheels fit 07 Vue

I realize this is an older thread, but the answer is almost certainly not. The Aura is basically an Opel, and the Vue is more or less an Equinox.

Re: Saturn Vue 2006 3.5L Mobil Dextron-IV ATF

so you have no problem draining it 3 times in your driveway instead of paying Honda to do it in the shop?
more power to you.

Re: Saturn Vue 2006 3.5L Mobil Dextron-IV ATF

my local Honda dealer drains and fills the transmission 3x. drain/fill, let the car run for a minute, repeat 2 more times.

Re: Saturn Vue 2006 3.5L Mobil Dextron-IV ATF

I've read a LOT over the years about the Honda transmission and fluid, and i'm convinced that it makes a difference to go get it swapped at a Honda dealer.

Re: Driver's side window inoperable

I'm assuming the other windows work, so it's not a fuse.
And you've verified the switch is good.

Sounds like a dead motor to me. Unfortunately they do go bad over the years. Gunk settles into the...

Re: Brief clicking noise in dash upon starting

I think the battery guess is correct. Take it to autozone and have them do a free battery check.

Re: Upper core support

well I don't know how much the Vue is worth to you, but you could always go on Craigslist and buy a used welder, then just sell it when you're done.
in my area there's multiple welders for $200 or...

Re: Intermittent fast chime with abs/brake/traction control dash lights

I completely forgot about autozone being able to scan, thanks for reminding me.
My front rotors are grabbing a little too hard lately, and it could be mucking up the abs system and causing the...

Re: Upper core support

I don't know if this is welded. But I used to spend time at my friend's bodyshop, and if it is welded, you might be able to just use a carbide bit on a rotary tool and grind off the weld, or possibly...

Re: Wheel center caps

Finding blank center caps to fit my Dodge wheels on my Vue was one gigantic pita because of differences not only in size, but also depth of the cap. The dodge caps were sharp, but I really didn't...

Re: Newsworthy VUE...

Intermittent fast chime with abs/brake/traction control dash lights

The abs/brake/traction control lights come on intermittently with a fast chime that lasts maybe 10 seconds.
It stops the next time I start the car, and returns once every few rides or so.

This...

Re: 06 Saturn Vue transmission upgrade?

Even if it's possible, it is likely that it would be a much bigger project than finding a low mileage 5 speed from a Vue.

Re: Need help with Vue battery selection

No idea. Maybe a factory mistake, maybe someone had that battery sitting around and swapped out the main battery cables. But there's not enough cable to run the positive connector to the opposite...

Re: Need help with Vue battery selection

The terminals on a group 85 are reversed when compared to the correct factory battery such as the walmart one pictured in your post

Re: Need help with Vue battery selection

You're missing the part where the terminals are reversed. I would have had a huge selection if that was not the case.

Their group 85 series was not even close to that price.

Re: Need help with Vue battery selection

No Walmart store local to me had a group 85 series battery in stock. Like Costco, they could have ordered one in, but I didn't feel like dicking around with it.
And unlike the $120 batteries, the...

Re: Vandalized Mirrors!

Thankfully cameras are a cheap option these days.
I hope the cops nail her to the wall on this one!
You should have had a dealer do the repair so you could sock her with a bigger bill!
