Hrm...someone that SELLS the hydro generator reporting it helped him get 72 MPG....how very self serving.

As for getting 50 MPG on a DOHC I'm sure it can be done but at the costs of what the OP is...

The only company I know of that makes a lightweight flywheel for our cars is Fidanza and a new one will run you $300 - $340. You could "lighten" a stock one but it has to be balanced and probably...

Well I wanted the overall diameter to be the same as stock so the speedometer wouldn't be off or need adjustment. To do that with a bigger rim you need a lower profile tire, the lower the profile...

The car, if the engine is up to temp, should flash the SES within a minute at which time you should do the crank learn. As for the PCM/BCM relearn......without the relearn the car won't start. :) ...

Unfortunately you'll most likely need someone at a Saturn shop with a Tech 2 to reprogram the PCM. The vins dont matter or have to match the relearn syncs up the PCM and BCM so they can work...

If its just N/A with little mods (TB, intake, etc) 2" would be fine and a nice improvement from what you have. As stated its 1 7/8 and it does go down a little to 1 3/4". Cylinder volume goes up...
