What Would You Do With A $100 Saturn?

It's a question that at least a few of us will be experiencing in the next several years to come. I decided to write about it.

Re: Current Motor Oil Rebates

NAPA is offering PEAK synthetic for 99 cents a quarter.

Make sure to call your local NAPA to see if it's in stock before heading out.

Re: Back to Saturn new to us 07 relay 2

Why only keep a van for a year? That's like keeping a stick of gum for only three chews!

Re: road trip

I once sold a Relay a few years back for $4000 and saw that the owner never titled it.

I always wondered what happened to it. Must have been a 1888.5 mile road trip.

Re: Thinking about buying 06 Relay with 100k miles for $1800

You'll shoot your eye out kid!

But seriously, there are far worse desires and fetishes. If a Saturn Relay is how you get your rocks off then go buy one.

Re: If GM resurrected the SATURN brand tomorrow, would you buy another one?

No. New cars are just never worth the price premium. We're living in the golden age of used cars when it comes to the value equation.

So why buy new?

Re: Buying a 2000 ls1

I would add the fuel pump to the list. A lot of them need to be replaced once. If you buy a quality unit, you usually never have to worry about it again.

Re: My 02 L200 Stick

Nice wheels! Great choice! I once put some Pontiac Grand Prix wheels on a Chevy Impala and the change made it just good enough to sell at a hefty profit.

You done good...

Re: Just throwing this out there!

It was a loose connection which may have caused a minor draw of sorts. That's one hell of an interesting story.

Re: 2008 saturn Aura, sitting for 2 years, hasnt been started in over a year...

1) Check all the fluids and the tire pressure

2) Use quality jumper cables or you may be stuck for a while.

3) When you get a full tank of gas, use some fuel system cleaner.

4) Do not go on...

Re: The last Saturn Astra owner.

These vehicles with manual transmissions are becoming just as inexpensive as the Saturn S-Series was just a few short years ago.

Re: Pretty sweet deal on an 06 Ion. Need some guidance

They're clunky. No doubt about it. But in due time you should be able to replace it with a smoother unit. Go online and see what the folks say who have bought those units.

All the best!

Replacing tranny on 2003 AWD Automatic Saturn VUE

Is there a manual tranny swap that would work with this vehicle?

I don't think the CVT's on these things are worth a flip. But with only 69k miles, it would really be a shame to trade the thing in...

Re: Plan on changing an 03' Saturn Vue AWD 4 cylinder to...

Well, if I just stuck with an automatic can I use the one offered in the Saturn Ion given that I have an AWD vehicle (for now)?

By the way, thanks for all the responses. I really appreciate it.

a stickshift.

I know that there have been discussions about changing the transmission to manual on the FWD models. I wanted to find out if a different configuration would be needed for an AWD...
