Re: Vue advice??

I've never had a problem with the clutch or shifting on my '04 4-cyl. Vue with 51k miles. It's been quite reliable even though I hot-dog it once in a while. My gas consumption varies from 23 mpg...

Re: New owner of a 5 Speed Vue : comments and questions

My '04 Vue is a 5-spd with 49k miles, all good ones, no complaints. Maybe newer years might have poorly redesigned turn and wiper controls, but I've never considered those on mine to be a problem. ...

Re: Have you owned a previous Vue? Do you like the Previous or Current Vue Better?

......[ No, I don't want it to turn the airbag on that side on or off. If I get in an accident I want every airbag in the world to go off. Who cares if there is no one in that seat?.....

Um, I...

Re: Vue idles fine, runs terrible, like a bucking BRONCO

Those ideas on the problem are good guesses. Could also be bad / contaminated gas. Or clogged injectors.

If you have the patience, try running some fuel injector cleaner and gas line deicer. It...

Re: Looking for tires for the Vue, got me to this forum!

I put on a set of Avon Ranger TSE 235/65TR16's on my 4-cyl. Vue at 31K miles. The tires provide a noticeably softer/plusher ride than stock. I thought at first they were underinflated, but they were...

Re: Another eBay scam...

The seller doesn't say whether it requires premium gas. My guess is that the unit does.

Idea Re: Saturn Vue 2005 Sun Visor

The Vue visors are indeed crappy. This is is likely one of the areas in which the engineers tried to save on production costs. Here in central Texas the sun is very bright and I rarely can adust...

Re: Someone finally made them!!!!!!!

Huh? Am I overlooking something? I can't get very excited about this sort of customization when the only people who might recognize the differences between this and stock are a small number of...

Re: Shift Indicator Light

I ignore the upshift indicator light too. It's dimmer and not as obtrusive as the one on my old SW2.

Re: battery

My two SW2's both had batteries go bad, and each was just before the 36k end of warranty so they were completely covered. The second bad battery destroyed the cable too.
So I think I'll replace...

Re: I sent saturn an email about the 06 vue. here is their reply back.

I just can't worry over these very minor changes to the Vue. Seems to me It's like making a mountain out of a molehill. These changes are virtually insignificant and fail to see how anyone can get...

Re: <<For owners of 5spd Vues>>

The gearing seems fine to me. I find myself sometimes ending up in fourth from a stop without upshifting to 5th and it can be a few miles before I realize it. 5th seems tall enough to act like an...

Re: '06 information & changes

I wouldn't laugh at the Scion XB, especially when I consider the better gas mileage it has over the Vue....

Re: Worth getting fuel sensor fixed?

Not sure about the muffler, but one idea is to save up the work until just before the 36K warranty expiration, then get every nitpicking detail fixed at once.

Re: Vue Vue Owner Of 1 Week.. Bad Mpg!

I agree, the 4-cylinder engine can stand to be revved up to get better performance. Though it might be wise to take it easy until the first (and early) oil change. No need to lug the engine under 2k...

Re: Saturn Logo

not to change the subject here, but.....35 mpg?? Outstanding! Best I've gotten with my 2.2 liter 5-speed is 29.5 mpg, and I was happy to get that. Mostly I get about 23 or 24 around town. ...

Re: Harsher ride with 35 psi?

I understand the higher pressure in the rear is supposed to aid the suspension in blocking tip overs and is not related to weight differential front vs. rear.

Re: Harsher ride with 35 psi?

I agree with vue-vtec. I like the better road feel at 35 psi.
I also liked the better control I seemed to have in the first thousand miles than I do now at 13k. I attribute that to stiff shocks...

Re: Rear window shattered, denied warranty and need some help

I've had a rear hatch window shatter before.
It was a '74 AMC Gremlin. The window frame was not secured down (with a broken latch) and on a very gusty day, the wind rattled the frame with enough...

Key fob and theft alarm-pet peeve

Auto lock doors (mentioned in an earlier thread) don't bother me. What I get peeved about is how easy it is to set off the Saturn alarm by accidentally pressing the button on the key fob. I've...

Re: Is anyone else worried that thier Vue might be a Lemon

"I have a question what did they do to fix your fuel gauge problem ?"

My guess is, they probably replaced the ECM module. I had to get the ECM replaced on my '01 SW2 when the fuel gauge went out...

Re: Any detailed instructions on breaking down dash for radio install?

A good and tight ground connection is essential for best reception. I don't know how the Saturn radio is grounded though.

Old radios had a very tiny screw to tune the antenna. it was typically...

Re: Strange Windshield Problem

Did they install a genuine Saturn-made windshield? If they did, you have a good reason to contact Saturn's help line. Otherwise, it's a Fas-Break problem.

Windshield glass is composed of...

Re: A/c compressor runs with floor only selected

I also don't like the way the heat and A/C system works to contribute towards slower performance - especially with the 4 -cyl. engine- and worse gas mileage. But a major beef I have is when I use...

Re: VUE Clutch Problem

I had a clutch slave cylinder go bad on my ''01 SW2 at 22k miles. Fixed under warranty, which pleased me.
79K miles is a high enough mileage so that I personally would not be so upset over a...
