The part towards which the arrow is drawn is definitely the starter. (The principal difference between the ECOTEC 2.2L and 2.4L engines is - apart from horse power - the bore and stroke.)

^Even if the electric locks fail the front doors have key locks and the trunk lid also has one. It's always possible for an owner enter the cabin or trunk of the car in a normal way.
