Re: Engine swap questions 96 to 99
That's a 9 bolt exhaust manifold. You can count 7 bolts easy, the other 2 are hidden by the A/C compressor. Lucky for you it doesn't have the AIR system to screw with things. You'll have to keep the...

Re: Reading vs Scanning Codes?
I've only limited experience with Autozone, but they seem to be the "lets hire the highschool kid" parts store.
Unless you're in CA, having the codes read is free or under $20. Free at any parts...

Re: Replacement Lower Control Arms
Went with Moog's for my SC2. They seem to be more reliably close to OEM quality without totally breaking the bank like OEM.
In my experience it's not the nut that's ever an issue, its the bolt....

Re: Need to remove engine in a 2002 SL1 manual
Same way you do when it is there, though to have to angle the back/hose end of the slave down so the actuator end is up until it hits the fork inside the transmission. I've not had it fall/pull out...

Odd. I thought only the dome light & sunroof motor wire's went up there, must be unique to SL's with the 3rd brake light.

I plan on using a pair of 6x9's. Each one has the same SA...

Cheaper on eBay, though they seem to be more expensive than I remember: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313.TR2.TRC1&_nkw=AB01502T&_sacat=0&_from=R40

Re: What years can i take a door off to fit on a 96 sl?
Depends on what you mean by fit. If you want it to bolt on without hours of fiddling, buy another car...the doors are custom fit to the chassis at the factory.
'96-'99 SL & SW's are the same so...

That's a silly idea for a FWD.

Re: bolt on turbo??
I had an '89 Saab 900 SPG. ~8psi and 185-190hp. A stock SC2 would outrun it, if you could even get the truck shifter to work good enough to not have a 10s 0-60, and that was the fastest 900...

The trunks like to leak water so start by checking the brake light bulbs. Pretty sure on the sedans you can check the bulbs (and connector) without removing the housing but if not, it should be a T15...

Dupli-Color calls it Gold Mica.
My '96 SC2's call it U5337 (I think it's a 7, most of the code is gone).
My '97 SW2 calls it U5333.
Paintscratch.com calls it WA5333 (sample color code makes it...
