I'm actually doing my timing belt this weekend. Doing it with the help of a mechanic friend. I was going to do the water pump but like its been said, the water pump doesn't run off of the timing belt...

Rear hatch Issue

Has anyone had issues with their rear hatch? a few months ago mine acted up. The "open door" light was on and my rear hatch wouldn't open. I used the manual over ride to open it and it worked fine...

every automatic transmission car i've had drives weird when it gets really cold. My fiances aveo is really bad in the cold.

Rear Window Washer - no fluid

Any of you guys know where the washer hose runs for the rear washer nozzle? mine isn't spraying any fluid. The motor is turning just no fluid. Other cars i've worked on it runs along the drivers side...

I changed my oil this past weekend in 7F (-13C). wasn't too bad. Kept my hands warm by keeping them near the engine

according to the internet the valves need to be adjusted when the timing belt is changed. My car is at 62k miles, timing belt is scheduled to be changed at 75k miles.

I changed my oil yesterday and while i was letting it idle i noticed a valve tick...similar to a lifter tick i had on my older silverado. I've never noticed this before...it very well could have been...

i've had this same problem. I'm going to use the M6 fastener that they cover and make some kind of a little panel to cover them up. Havn't had time to do it yet.

The eibachs were the only legit kit I found thats available in US. I would like to find a larger front sway bar and a set of full coil-overs. Haven't really looked at brakes much yet.

thats kind of what I assumed. The hard part is about getting good aftermarket parts for the astra is getting them from europe. I've had mine for only a few months but done some research into fun...

Has anyone ever ever done a seat swap in their astra? I was looking and the Opel and Vauxhall performance versions of the astra had some very nice seats. I'm assuming they are bolt in.

my astra didn't come with OEM tires but it came with an OEM replacement (cooper something). I hate them. My beef with OEM Tires is the build them to lat for 70k+ miles. This means low rolling...

the saab wheels didn't work out. The HHR wheels from the cabie work great. The offset is a little difference so the inside face of the wheel is closer to the caliper but there are no interference...

has anyone ever added foglights to their car? I've got an XE that doesn't have them. Kind of want to put some on but don't know what would look good (factory lights or aftermarket). suggestions?

quick update...bike rack works like a champ. I've been hauling bikes around now problem the last few weeks. Even with the ends plugged it made a lot of noise. Not from the air, but from the aluminum...

so...one minor issue. I left the ends of the tube open...at about 60mph the thing howls!! hoping that plugging the ends solves the problem.

My car is equipped with TPMS, if i switch over to my winter wheels/tires that do not have the TPMS will anything happen? just a warning light on the DIC...

HOLY ****!!!! NEW IDEA!!! going to by 4 of these stand-offs from mcmaster. Then i'm going use some simple spacers to raise the bars off the roof a little further and simply use a long bolt to attach...
