The 3.5 has a very short oil plug...about 3/8" long. But it also has plenty of threads left in the pan beyond the existing threads. I used this guy's advise...took the plug to the hardware store...

I was looking at some of the Honda Pilot 3.5
videos on youtube. Their snorkel is different but that rubber connecting piece looks the same to me. Just sayin...

Just a thought...I was reading elsewhere that a guy figured out that his brake light filament was making contact with his tail light filament and causing it to backfeed. Thought I'd throw that out...

I've never had any luck using propane for heating bolts...Mapp gas gets a little hotter but acetylene is the way to go if you can. Whatever you use needs to be hot enough to actually get the metal...

Actually, after looking closer. The TYC unit says 125 amps and the reman Denso unit says 110 amps. Would that make a difference?

I was looking at the Rock Auto site and they have remanufactered Densos. They also have a TYC brand that says "w/ 6 Groove Pulley; w/ OE Manufacturer Denso; Amps: 125A". (whatever that means :) )...

Thanks so much for posting this. I just bought an 06 AWD from a lady and it's like a disco when it starts up cold. You saved me a lot of headache.
