Re: '95 SC2 Headlight Issue

OK, after running my high beams aimed like low beams for a while, just so I can get two working lights, I lost the high beam in the driver's side too! Now, that whole side is dead! Going to try and...

Re: 1998 SC2 Rear-Ended

Amen to that! I thought that SC did a great job of protecting Bumpdraft. It died saving him.

Re: A couple pics of my '96 SC2

Ok, this is what confused me:

Now, the description states that this is a '96 SC1. Now, all the years before and since I've seen of...

Re: A couple pics of my '96 SC2

I thought that the '95's were the last with the pop-up headlights, and the '96 SC2's had the same fixed headlights as the 1st Gen SC's and SC1's. Did I miss something in Saturn SC 101, LOL?

Well, if you don't want to put the money in it, I guess you can flip it at the JY....

Re: Oh Crap this could be Bad! Oil in spark plug well!

It was an issue for me when I was redoing my cam cover gasket on my '95 SC2. They made some DOHC's with plastic cam covers, and some with aluminum cam covers. Make sure you get the right gasket for...

Re: '95 SC2, Engine missing Cyls 2 and 4

I plan on using all of the accessories, including the complete fuel rail, off of the '95 motor just for that very reason. It would make things so much easier. Basically, I'll just be using the engine...

Re: '95 SC2, Engine missing Cyls 2 and 4

Well, found a '96 DOHC with 96K on the clock in the junkyard for $275. If I could have got it today (no help available, GRRRR!), I could buy one of their $5 5 gal buckets, and get 35% off the...

Re: '95 SC2, Engine missing Cyls 2 and 4

The compression numbers are #1-175 PSI, #2-30 PSI, #3-185 PSI, and #4-50 PSI. That is what's strange. If those sensors you are talking about were bad, would I get a code? My SES light has never come...

Re: '95 SC2, Engine missing Cyls 2 and 4

Ok, as far as using a '98 motor, could I just use my original fuel rail, sensors, and accessories (PS pump, A/C com., Alt. and such, and would I be fine with this motor? I'm trying to get the newest...

Re: '95 SC2, Engine missing Cyls 2 and 4

That makes sense to me, depending on how the head looks, should I look into a total rebuild? Or, should I just look for a low mileage complete motor in the jy? There seem to be plenty of '95 and...

Re: '95 SC2, Engine missing Cyls 2 and 4

Going by that site, the injectors I have are correct, each one having around 2.5 ohms.

Re: '95 SC2, Engine missing Cyls 2 and 4

And that would explain why I didn't smell gas on #2's plug after just running it. I didn't do that with the #4 plug. Would a burnt valve cause a compression loss of that magnitude, that's alot of...

Re: '95 SC2, Engine missing Cyls 2 and 4

Ok, an update. Did a compression check just a few mins ago.

Results: #1-178lbs, #2-30lbs, #3-185lbs, and #4-50lbs.

The car does run and drives somewhat well considering the lost cylinders. My...

Re: '95 SC2, Engine missing Cyls 2 and 4

Ok, got the AC Delco 41-627 plugs, and nada, still two dead cylinders. In a fit of desperation, I looked in the fuse panel on the driver's side. There are two big Maxi 30 AMP fuses, one marked IGN 3,...

Re: '95 SC2, Engine missing Cyls 2 and 4

Ok, before the rain started, I was able to test the injectors. All are between 2.3 and 2.5 ohms, which, by the FSM, means they are good. How is the best way to check the injector plugs with a...

'95 SC2, Engine missing Cyls 2 and 4

Re: '95 SC2 Top Dash

Well, that is what I thought. It's the top plastic panel. At least I'm not tied to just the '95-'96 SC's, I can also use ones from the '95 SL's and SW's, thanks, Low Saturn!! Has anyone tried to...

'95 SC2 Top Dash

I have a crack that has just shown up in the last week. Is there any way possible that this can be repaired? If not, since, this is for the dreaded '95 model year, is this part a year specific part,...

Re: Favorite Kind of Hub Caps??

You could possibly get a set of alloys at the junk yard relatively cheap, I would try that. If need be, they can be repainted.
