Re: Fuel tank leak?

Got it all back together and fixed a couple of days ago. Had to use 11/32" fuel line to make it work, since the line has to be routed in the channels on top of the fuel tank or the tank can't be...

Re: Fuel tank leak?

They do seem to be nylon, with some type of retainer clip. My local GM parts guy said he couldn't find the fuel line (PN25895332) anywhere, not even using his locator system to search other dealers....

Re: Fuel tank leak?

Well, got it all figured out today. You won't believe the cause of the leak! Dropped the tank partially by removing the front 2 straps, and then got underneath and had my wife just turn the key to...

Re: Fuel tank leak?

Thanks, thats a good suggestion. I didn't drive it all day yesterday, and it seems like no leaking. But I took it for a short drive last night, and it did leak then. Seems like it's leaking from...

Re: Fuel tank leak?

Not sure about the fuel pump location, I'll do some more searching today to see if I can find a diagram. But one of the fuel lines you can see in the photos, at the upper left hand side - it has the...

Fuel tank leak?

I've had a code P0449 set for some time now (Canister Vent Solenoid), which supposedly is somewhere on or near the fuel tank. Well today I thought I would get underneath the Outlook and see if I...

Re: 07 Outlook, P0171, P0174, and "Service Stabilitrak" after replacing plugs!

Yeah, what a relief!! And no more parts to buy! Not sure what the "green fitting" is, but it was just a metal tube about 1" long & maybe 1/4" or less diameter, the rubber cap on it was black. It...

RE: 07 Outlook, P0171, P0174, and "Service Stabilitrak" after replacing plugs!

PROBLEM SOLVED!!! :):)
Last week I swapped the new plugs back in, and also installed the new tube that goes from the manifold to the evap canister (although the old one didn't look bad, but I...

Re: Steering Column Noise

Thanks, good tip. I'm going to check out that boot and spray it with some of the dry film lube to see if it quiets the noise.

Re: Steering Column Noise

Not totally sure either.... Our 07 Outlook has made this noise since we bought it (bought used back in 2011). One time, I took off the plastic shrouds that go around the steering column, and...

Re: 07 Outlook, P0171, P0174, and "Service Stabilitrak" after replacing plugs!

Thanks, I will keep that in mind too. I guess the next thing I'm going to do is swap the new plugs back in, and then install the new tube that goes from the manifold to the evap canister (when it...

Re: 07 Outlook, P0171, P0174, and "Service Stabilitrak" after replacing plugs!

Yes, I agree, very likely 2 separate issues, but very odd how they both started at exactly the same time, when I changed the plugs. I keep thinking maybe I accidentally pushed on a wire bundle or...

Re: 07 Outlook, P0171, P0174, and "Service Stabilitrak" after replacing plugs!

Well, I'm still having both of these problems continue. For the P0171 / P0174 issues, I looked everything over in the engine bay for vacuum leaks, but so far couldn't find any. So yesterday I...

Re: 07 Outlook, P0171, P0174, and "Service Stabilitrak" after replacing plugs!

Thanks, I may try that. I'm just wondering if the stored codes are somehow related to the Stabilitrak issue, since they started at exactly the same time. By the way, I've been clearing the codes...

07 Outlook, P0171, P0174, and "Service Stabilitrak" after replacing plugs!

Our 07 Outlook just turned over 100K miles, and new plugs were recommended. So I put in Autolite platinum plugs (gapped per service manual). Started it back up, and the idle was kind of rough, with...

Re: 03 L-300 Tranny Problem

Thanks, well, I may try either cleaning the MAF again (since that's really easy), or replacing the MAF again, maybe with a different brand? Maybe there's slight variances in the outputs of these...

Re: 03 L-300 Tranny Problem

Well, just an update to this, after I finished replacing the PCS valve. The problem still happens! Kind of sad... but yes, I still sometimes get the wrench light illuminated, along with rough...

Re: 03 L-300 Tranny Problem

OK, well the new part came, and it was the right one, so today I got it installed, and....success!! Took a good test drive, and no hard shifts or wrench light anymore. A few other things & tips, if...

Re: 03 L-300 Tranny Problem

OK, yesterday did a bit more on this. I finally got the inner part of the axle off (had to pry it off, using a pry bar from underneath, using the trans cover to pry against. The inner part of the...

Re: 03 L-300 Tranny Problem

Well, yesterday I got everything off, and loosened the bolts to the cover, and got the trans fluid drained out, but that's as far as I got. We have tropical storm Debby coming through, and it's been...

Re: 03 L-300 Tranny Problem

I have the same thing, and there was another thread somewhere here by member Dukenikemx who did the replacement. He said it takes about 9 hrs for the V6 version of the car to replace this; it's...

Re: 2002 LW300: Recommended parts for timing belt and water pump replacement

I agree, there was no seal replacement needed when I replaced my timing belt; the belt basically just has a cover over it. You can also check this thread where I described how I did the belt & water...

Re: 2003 L300 transmission probs.

Also I just found this image which shows the location of the Pressure Control Solenoid. It is # 335 in the pic. Should help with locating it, if anyone else wants to do this, too.

Re: 2003 L300 transmission probs.

Thanks a lot for these!!! Really helpful. I found that Rock Auto carries the right part for my 2001, (ACDelco 10478146, for $35 bucks). I'll probably order it in the next few weeks and then get it...

Re: 2003 L300 transmission probs.

Chad - do you have copies of the 3 TSBs you mentioned just above? I've been having the exact same symptoms on my '01 L300 for a while (already replaced the MAF, since it seemed easier & cheaper). ...
