Re: SES light on, very odd driveability problems, please help

I could see the EGR effecting the idle if the idle sounded a little off, but my idle revs like crazy! It'll shoot up to 1500-2000 RPMs, doesn't matter if your driving or sitting still. It doesn't do...

Re: Help needed with idle/temp.

There is actually a funny story that came of this. I went to saturn for all my parts to avoid this situation, but the funny thing is, I went to advanced auto parts and picked up one of their sensors,...

Help needed with idle/temp.

I have a 96 sl2, has been acting up. First of all, the idle is way high, around 1500 rpms, and the coolant (according to the guage) is ice cold. I replaced the ECT only to have a whole new bag of...

Re: The dreaded P0300

LOL...this code brings back memories. I had an SES light on for about 2 months, with this code. A simple plug/wire replacement fixed my problem, but something that many people overlook, (and i'm not...

I just thought i'd check around here, see if anyone has this similar problem with their saturn before i tackle this myself.

I have an intermittent high pitch squeal coming from the driver's side...

Re: Did brakes - now 2 wheels won't bleed!

Could be your master cylinder. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure master cylinders are designed so that in the event of failure, at lease one system will work. One system being rf, and lr, and the...

Re: Rough Idle Problem Under VERY VERY Specific Circumstances

Do you remember if the pressure plate was replaced too when you got the clutch done?
When replacing a clutch, you should replace the TO bearing and pressure plate, but if the springs are weak, it...

Re: 802whp civic

Well, thats a different story, you never said anything about auto crossing. I would NEVER use a big block for auto crossing either, for autocrossing I would want something light, I would go with an...

Re: 802whp civic

Well you can take your 2500 lb civic with 300 WHP if you wanna, but i'd much rather have a shoebox nova or a gutted foxbody mustang (since it weighs the same and all) and put a BIG BLOCK in it, since...

Re: 802whp civic

You are completely right, I also agreed that 800 HP out of a 4 banger is impressive, but also as stated, I too would rather have that 800 HP at 3k than 10. The thing is, with sport compact people its...

Re: Engine noise in speakers???

Well like I said, update your grounds, see if that does anything for you. If it is the wires, thats just more of a reason not to spend 100 bucks on something to make the car look good under the hood.

Re: 802whp civic

That has got to be the DUMBEST thing i've heard. Wow. I thought you where smarter than that. Alright, here I go....

First of all, i'm not a big sport compact fan, so when I see a civic like the...

Re: Engine noise in speakers???

Chances are you don't need to change the wires, those nology wires have so much insulation on them, they should last a looooooooong time. What kind of "engine noise" are you getting? Ticking noise?...

Re: Q on transmission line pressure increase.

You know that little perf/norm switch right next to the gear selector? Switch it to perf. and you get your raised line pressure.
Thats all that switch does, extends the shift point and raises line...

Re: Thermal R&D Exhaust

Re: MAF and short ram

More air= more power (via more fuel) is a huuuge misconception among many people. I beleived at one time that putting an intake system on the satty would improve power, but I was shot down when it...

Re: Thermal R&D Exhaust

Despite what others may say, I must say, I hate it. When I first got mine, it sounded awesome, probably one of the best sounding exhausts i've heard. I had a friend of mine do a drive by, winding it...

Re: Belt tensioner?

Its not a good idea to buy wear items from a junkyard. How do you know the part is any good. Junkyard is good for (some) engines, suspension parts, body parts. I wouldn't buy things that wear from a...
