Re: ACT street vs 4-puck vs 6-puck

Re: vtech swap!!!

Well I think its funny. 'Specialy cause of all the VTEC hype. Some Honda tuners think there is VTAK fluid or a button under the dash to turn on VTEC. The man can make whatever jokes he wants to....

Pistons

I have a goal of a DOHC swap as well as the DOHC's (MP2?) manual transmission. I had an idea. I don't plan on turbocharging my car after the swap, but basic bolt ons, an SDA head with the flat faced...

Re: Coilovers may find a way under my car.

Man those things are pretty. May I ask what spring rates those have, and the adjustability of the AMR coilovers. Also, is this a street/track application or a sole track application?

Re: Welded diff pin

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't this render a car useless on the street?

Re: Engine Rebuild kit worth it?

Ok wow, in a Camaro! How much horsepower did it have? I'm willing to bet it would go fast enough to get the brakes up to the right operating temperature. And I'm also willing to bet he has fairly...

Re: battery relocation help

For the solenoid, get a repair manual. These are good for locating and learning how to disassemble and put together anything on your car. Not to be mean, but why you got a battery relocation kit on a...

Re: "with first place, and no longer aloud to cherry pick in novice..."

Congratulations! Yeah, I'm going to jump into autocross come spring. I'm in alabama, and I have to get some better tires before then, so I have plenty of time.

Re: Hotshot Header

Also Stiffer motor mounts will help prevent the header/exhaust manifold from cracking. Also, I agree, if your EGT's are getting hot enough to heat up the header to be hot enough to bend/warp/crack,...

Re: Engine Rebuild kit worth it?

All I have to say is, thanks Cloud for backing me up, cause I follow what Dave Coleman has to say about cars, because he is the car guy. Here I go and I will type every damned word "The truth:...

Re: What do I spend my $ on?

Yep, think about it. It is energy. Energy is lost through the flywheel, clutch, etc on its ways to the ground. Welcome to the real world of physics.

Re: Spring Question...

Are you going for looks or performance? If its for looks, go with the sprints. But performance wise the sprints are a bad choice. They overlower the car. This means the Roll center of the car...

Re: Harness bar

If you get harnesses do your homework! A missetup could result in serious injury or death. (i.e. compressed spine, broken collar bones etc.)

Re: Engine Rebuild kit worth it?

I hate to break it to you, but big brake kits are worthless on our cars. Unless you have a turbo saturn beast, those will make your braking distances longer, due to the fact that they will never get...

Re: suspension/handling upgrades

Here i'll make it easy: H&R sport springs or Eibach Pro Kit. The H&R's have stiffer spring rates, so they will handle better, but the eibach's will yield more towards comfort. KYB GR-2 or ST struts...

"I second that emotion" < stole from a friend when he was intoxicated.
Yes not only that she works on cars but a SATURN! I also respect it. Most girls don't even know what a manual transmission is.

Re: Sachs Super Gas struts?

haha I wasn't trying to be mean. I would be more than happy, like you say, to have struts that could handle the 300 some odd lb/in springs of the H&R race springs. But a fully adjustable coilover set...
