Re: 05 vue v6 engine mount part no?

I placed a 2x4 under the engine & trans that did not interfere with the sub frame and supported it using a floor jack just enough to relieve the weight off the mount. Once the new mount was placed I...

Re: 05 vue v6 engine mount part no?

Generally it seemed to be coming from the passenger side while others it seemed to be coming from low behind the dash. My struts and shocks were shot so I replaced those as well but not on the same...

Re: 05 vue v6 engine mount part no?

My '06 Vue 3.5 was making an erratic clunking / knocking noise. It sounded as if the strut was completely loose and it did not matter if the vehicle was in motion, stopped, P-R-N-D etc. Once I...

Re: 02 vue front struts

Before you do your alignment, this would be the time to replace the end links if they are getting close. No sense paying for another alignment in a couple months if you will be replacing them later....

Re: 02 vue front struts

x2006nzl, congratulations on doing this yourself. There is no rubber part which resides on the spring perch. Simply make sure that when you are assembling everything together again that you rest the...

Re: Replace condenser?

I almost have everything I will need to start however I have a question regarding the sub-frame bolts which must be loosened in order to remove the compressor from the engine bay. I know that it is...

Re: Replace condenser?

I understand, I will wait until I open the system and check it. I'm not 100% sure of what was done prior to me. I bought it from a dealer a couple years ago with 25k or so miles. Thank you so much...

Re: Replace condenser?

Do you recommend flushing the lines and evaporator if the oil checks out fine? I will still be replacing the TXV and any o-rings encountered.

Re: Replace condenser?

fdryer, how discriminating must I be when inspecting the removed oil? Should the color be any different and what would be considered as acceptable debris in the oil (a few specks vs quite a very thin...

Re: Replace condenser?

I hear what you’re saying, I'm just a little squirrely cause I have already purchased all of the parts and oil (about $380) and would hate for it to fail prematurely because of old oil and possible...

Re: Replace condenser?

No such luck.. I couldn't wait so I checked the compressor and it appears as if the front of the compressor was almost dipped in the pag oil (green dye all over the place) yet very clean and dry...

Re: Replace condenser?

After reading further tomorrow I'll check the compressor and see if there is any visual evidence of a leak from this area on the compressor. Maybe if I am lucky the gasket failed and leaked the...

Re: Replace condenser?

Fdryer, thanks for the quick response, I wish that I would have learned about that part about 2yrs ago when this started happening. A few months ago it quit blowing cold regardless of the conditions....

2006 Vue 3.5L 76k
I was hoping that someone could guide me in the right direction. Some time ago the a/c stopped blowing cold below 1500rpm (moving or stopped) and when I took it to a family...
