Re: 2004 Saturn Ion 2.2 constant p0442 code
It's not likely a false positive. Either you have a leak that hasn't been found yet or one of the parts is faulty.
The only part I don't see in your list is the fuel tank pressure sensor, which is...

Re: Manual Trans "Push-start" question
FWIW I recall my 2007 Ion (2.2L) being very difficult to push start when I had it. I only tried a few times, but I could only get it to pop off once at my parents' place which had a long hill to let...

Re: Ion battery died and now no radio
After scouring through my attachments on this forum, I found a TSB that I uploaded on 7/21/2009 (link here (www.saturnfans.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=15564&d=1248215513)) which states the...

Re: Ion battery died and now no radio
As I already said before, these radios can't be locked because they don't have any anti-theft measures built into them (unlike the older ones that do). I'm sure the message saying it will come locked...

Re: Ion battery died and now no radio
XM Theftlock is only applicable to the external XM satellite radio tuner (if equipped, it was optional) which communicates with the BCM. These radios actually don't have any anti-theft measures built...

Re: Ion battery died and now no radio
The BCM and interior fuse panel are one in the same part. The radio's switched +12V power is sourced from output of the ACC relay before it is routed through the Radio (ACC) fuse. That relay is...

Re: 2005 Saturn Ion Moonroof
Unfortunately, if the parts have been discontinued your only option is to buy used parts off ebay or from a junkyard. The good news is that these motors don't fail very often and the Chevrolet Cobalt...

Re: Ion battery died and now no radio
I didn't remember those radios failing in the Vue when I made my previous post, but I see now that it actually was a common problem. I actually posted in the thread in the top link you shared. In my...

Re: Ion battery died and now no radio
Check your other accessories. Is there anything else that doesn't work? I'm just trying to rule out a larger fuse upstream from the radio fuse. The radio may have just went bad, but they're generally...

Re: 2001 L200 Audio Issues
That particular radio is a POS, but it's probably not the source of your problem. The best factory radio IMO is the double-din CD/Tape unit. Any radio from any 2000-2003 Saturn would be a direct plug...

Re: Wheel Bearing Repair Cost Range?
You're reviving a 10-year old thread so I wouldn't expect a response.
To answer your question, the SKF is a better option than a Timken or Moog bearing IMO. I wouldn't go as far as to say a...

The flex pipes often fail on the Ion/Cobalt/G5/HHR. Many exhaust companies make replacements specifically because of this. The exhaust pipe needs to be cut and welded on the downstream side to...

If the temp gauge works, the coolant temp sensor is fine. Does the engine run fine until it's warmed up? Have you already replaced both oxygen sensors?

Re: 2007 ion overheating
A lot of unanswered questions...
Which engine does your car have? A 2.6L wasn't an option for the Ion.
How do you know the engine is actually overheating?
What does the temp gauge say?
Are you...

Re: 2006 ION cannister vent solenoid..P0449

Re: 2007 Ion - Some New Issues...
Yes, EVAP system checks for leaks as fdryer explained.
The metal flap is a non-factor with regard to the code. It doesn't make an air-tight seal in the filler neck anyways. The fuel cap is what...

Yes, you do need an ABS hub on only the right side. See my response in the other thread you started.
