Re: What's with all these L200's lately?

I think where we've had a cross purpose is that the date I found (from two sources that said the same numbers) was on L series SOLD. That means first registered. Mr Graz's post quote Manufacture...

Re: coolant leak

Good catch Pierrot. It is surprising the number of drivers who think they have a coolant leak when in reality it's the run off from the AC. As the poster said, it is his daughters car, so I'm making...

Re: What's with all these L200's lately?

I guess if there is any that have collector value, it's gotta be the 2007's, the 2 in the US and the one in Canada. I guess there is some way of tracing them?

Another collector car is the Saab...

Re: What's with all these L200's lately?

Whilst I cannot offer any individual data on L300 V6 and L200 4pot, I found the following sales date for the US and Canada on the L series.

2002: US: 81,172. Canada: n/a
2003: US: 64,957. ...

Re: P0221 no response from accelerator

I would suggest clearing the codes again, then restarting the car to see what pops up. If it is the U2106, then the cars computer is telling you something you should address. Here's the link to the...

Re: P0221 no response from accelerator

I think going down the road of doing full maintenance and service to satisfy that the car is up to maintenance spec is counter productive at this juncture. I think the poster needs to try and address...

Re: Replacement battery 2003 LW200

My son's L300 is a Walmart Maxx battery. Never any fitment issues. Others have said the same with other brand of batteries.I suspect it is not the battery but the holding bracket on your car. But hey...

Re: Crank no spark

You told us the code was misfire on #1 cylinder. That is on the REAR of the engine. All you have done is check the coil pack on the FRONT of the engine.

You need to check the coil pack at the REAR...

Re: 2001 L200 Transmission Issues

Hard shifts on those gears shouts 'solenoids'. I did them about 2 or 3 years ago on my son's 03 L300 as he was having the hard shift issue. Classic symptoms are you are driving, the wrench light...

Re: Crank no spark

On the #1 cylinder misfire highlighted by Mr Fryer, do you know how old the ignition cartridges are on the car?

Unfortunately you cannot swap front and rear cartridges about. The cylinder #1 is...

Re: 2003 L300 v6 bucking when trying to shift

If it is only the CEL light then it is emissions related. The Wrench light comes on for non emission related issues. If you had the hard shifting like RJ mentioned, the Wrench light would come on....

Re: 20 years later an A/C component fails

Hi Pierrot
I always chuckle at the title to this thread. 20 years service and the dame thing breaks! I'd complain to GM, if I were you!! LOL.

Anyway, my own vehicle, a 2003 Suburban has two AC...

Re: the old mode actuator trick in the hvac

You own a Saturn. The company has been out of business for 12 years, the L series has been out of production for 15 years. That's the reality of owning an orphan car. The new parts supply is...

Just a suggestion.... before going to the time and hassle of removing the actuator, why not see if you can take a photo of it while it is still installed?

My Suburban's AC system has something 6...

Re: Saturn L300 power window switch Driver side

You cannot swap switches to the drivers switch. It is different to all the other 3 as it has the express up/down feature. The others don't.

If you believe it is the switch, then I would just buy a...

You have swapped out the switch for another one and that does...

Re: LW300 Passenger mirror

I have no clue whether it's one or 2 pieces. You will now need to look at the black piece and determine how it attaches to the main mirror body. It may well just be a 'click' type fastener method.

Re: 02 LW200 - Do These Rotors Need to be Replaced?

Here is a link to a brake article that mentions "curing". To be honest, I think this job is being over thought. Just change the damn things, brake gently for say 50 miles to bed them in. Then use as...

Re: 02 LW200 - Do These Rotors Need to be Replaced?

The main reason to replace brake rotors is bad scoring on the rotor surface and wear on the rotor to the minimum thickness limit. Do not just replace rotors for the sheer hell of it. Only you can...
