Re: Swap 2000 SL2 EGR onto a 97 SL2?

I believe I actually have an EGR valve off of a 3.8L (L36) V6 on my motor. I think if it bolts on, looks the same, and has the same connector, it should be okay, but I'm not totally sure. Only issues...

Re: Saturn with overfilled oil lives another day

That was my suggestion, but he didn't want to have to buy new oil, since it's not really possible just to let some oil out without getting oil all over the place.

Ahh, so it potentially...

Re: Saturn with overfilled oil lives another day

I didn't really explain it too clearly, I'm not even too sure what he did exactly, so that's probably why, lol. There wasn't any mixing of fluids, he apparently tried putting the oil filter where the...

Re: Saturn with overfilled oil lives another day

Thanks for the comment. I appreciate you calling my friend that I have known since middle school a goon. Quite nice of you. I just wanted to figure out why it doesn't seem to go into clear flood mode...

Re: Got bored with a spray paint can today :)

Thank you, I was just about to say that. Is the SL1/SC1 illegal? :hmpf:

Saturn with overfilled oil lives another day

Someone I know has a 97 SL2, and they just recently got it. For some reason, he thought that the transmission was the engine when he was doing an oil change. I'm not entirely sure how it happened,...

Re: Will 3M 90 adhesive work on a painted headliner board?

I think 3M 77 adhesive may be a better choice, I think 3M 90 is more for plastics and such. 3M 77 is better for fabric. I used 3M 77 to put closed cell foam from home depot in different places on my...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

Installed LEDs (part number WLED-CW5 on superbrightleds.com) in my instrument cluster. It looks great!

Re: Ebay Intake SC1 before and after (Video)

Just leave it on, so you can have two filters for extra clean air! :D

Re: Front air dam/gas mileage question

I think I might make a custom air dam. I slightly damaged my air dam when I crashed my car, and I lost the clips to hold it in, and some other plastic pieces. Never bothered trying to put it back on....

Re: oil in the coolant tank

I didn't think all OBD-2 S-Series had a return less fuel system. My 96 definitely has a return line hooked up to the fuel rail.

Re: Snow tires!

Just came back from getting stuck. I pulled to the right to let opposing cars past, so I was in the deep snow on the side spinning my right wheel trying to keep momentum going past them, but had to...

Re: Nightshade and Wheels

I have no problem with light tinting if brighter bulbs are used so that the light transmittance is the same as the stock lights. But if you're unable to make them equivalent in brightness to stock...

Re: 2wd sucks in snow

Do they make lift kits for Saturns? :p That'd be kind of helpful in the snow. Axles might not like it too much though.

Re: Tire Pressures for S Series

If you maxxed out the backs at flattened the fronts, I'm fairly certain it'd understeer tremendously.

Re: Base SL upgrades

So, does H&R use more then 8000kgf/m for their race springs? I can see why they call them race springs! That's quite stiff. Out of curiosity, are they progressive springs?

Hmm, at first I voted gloss black in the poll, before looking at the pictures. But that looks nice! Flat black is so nice when it's done correctly! (I have a friend who spray-bombed his civic with...

Re: 17 inch rims

What effects do smaller wheels have on the handling? Like, a pair of Honda Civic HX wheels which are 14in and only 11lbs. Or the 13in VX wheels, which are 9lbs. I think 13in would be a tad bit too...

Re: Time to get down and dirty!

There are no performance chips for the S-series.

I personally wouldn't go bigger than 15in. Otherwise you're just hurting the handling. If I were to get different wheels for my car, I'd...

Steering issues

After having some fun on a gravel road, 60mph of fun and an attempt at left-foot braking to be exact, my car is a bit creakier then it was before. It used to only be my rear struts that creaked, now...
