Re: Exhausts for Saturn SL1
This is currently on my Saturn, opened up a little more high end torque around 30 to 40 mph. You might have to wait a little until the price drops as pre-covid19 this was selling for 180 dollars.

Re: Successfully lifted Saturn Sw1
Hey thank you for your response!
This project has come a long way since getting stuck in open fair grounds during rain season a few years back. Sure I could have bought a capable vehicle for...

Re: Successfully lifted Saturn Sw1
I apologize for the lateness of my response, work is quite demanding these days.
The spacers were fabricated at a garage that specialized in making offload parts. A friend worked there who got me...

Here are some more interesting pictures from my project car for anyone else interested in references. As you can see I've stripped out almost the entire interior luxury plastic and fabrics. All that...

Re: Successfully lifted Saturn Sw1
An update; Switched to 195/75r14 on Bassetts, which will be replacing the stock tires. I've found these size tires don't cut down much on mileage loss as the other ones did. Has about 24 MPG, excess...

Re: Adding LED lights?
Here is a great site for finding a wire harness with the correct gauge wiring. Also comes with the relay already attached!

Re: Successfully lifted Saturn Sw1
That was my original plan but as you said, they cost quite a bit in almost new condition. A friend suggested I should just buy a junkyard Subaru and gut it. On the other hand I'm more toward just...

Re: Successfully lifted Saturn Sw1
I managed to find a shop to fabricate some 2" spacers back when I didn't know how to weld. The spacers fit on top of the stock/aftermarket struts. After installing them I did run into some trouble...

Re: Successfully lifted Saturn Sw1
I do have plans written up for such a project. I was thinking of fabricating a frame for a Toyota chassis. I remember someone actually putting the whole uni-body on a Toyota frame. That in itself is...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...
I cleaned out my EGR and TB, and installed an AEM intake for an SC model into my Sw1. Had to fabricate a bracket to make it fit. The IAT sensor loosely fit in the filter hole so I JB welded an old...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...
I installed an S-pod Source from my friends old Xterra. I couldn't find any adequate room in the engine bay, so I fabricated a metal mount which attaches inside the center console. Screwed in an...

Saturn SL1 exhaust upgrade suggestions
Could anyone tell me a good setup for an exhaust on a 1999 SL1. I'm looking to get one installed but I do not like the ricey or farty engine sound. Perhaps something that makes it sound deeper whilst...
