Re: Car vibrates at idle...
That's the stainless steel OEM muffler. I think you can inspect the top of the strap by jacking up the passenger rear and pulling the tire off.

Re: Just bought a nice SL1!

Sounds like you still have the aftermarket steering wheel, no airbag?
Yeah, all that the stock steering wheel had was airbag and cruise connector. Airbag is yellow, I think, though it has been...

At different times, the AC on my 98 and 02 stopped cooling. Both times, it was because one of the Schrader valves (basically, bicycle tire style stems you push in to release air/refrigerant) had...

Re: Cruise control?
Since your 01 SC2 had cruise, putting in another trans from a DOHC shouldnt affect your cruise. No wiring needed. Have you tried it out yet?
Yes, stock 01 harness in place should work fine. ...

Re: water pump install tips?
I followed the FiremanCV video on my 98. First water pump replacement for me, used the copper spray tack stuff. No real problems that I recall, though it is really tight for space there.
The...

Re: FOB/ remote control re-programing
The other free thing to try is to clean out the contacts in the fob, using a Q-tip swap with a little bit of alcohol on it.
It would be a pretty weird coincidence that your fob gummed up to the...
