Re: A/C line leaking

Wish I did have a picture. I can get one, but don't have one now. The line is a hard line that runs on the engine side of the condensor. On the passenger side of the car, it connects vertically...

A/C line leaking

I had my a/c system (and most lines) replaced a few months back after I ran over a tire in the road that did some damage. Thought I was set having a new a/c system but noticed that upon idle, the...

L300 starting up funny...

2004 Saturn L300 V6 with 150k. Recently is starting up a little funny and I'm trying to prevent from being stranded. Only happens when it's been sitting (outside?) for 8+ hours. When the engine...

Cruise control going?

I've noticed for some time now that my cruise control (which I use a lot) will 'pulse' about once or so every 2-3 minutes. By 'pulse', I mean that with the cruise set as say 70mph, it will let off...

Re: Bushings and suspension fixes - PRICE?

Yea...it exceeded $1,000 that's for sure. We knew the price going into it and talked them down quite a bit. The biggest expense is the labor on the engine cradle bushings (I called around and 3...

Re: 2004 L300 V^ Struts

Thanks for the advice guys. I consider myself a car guy, but I kind of inherited this car when I got married (sold my GTO and "upgraded" to the L300 when we moved to the 'burbs) but I don't know a...

2004 L300 V^ Struts

I have a clunky front end on my 135k L300. This was my wifes car that I now use to commute to the city and back so I just put gas in it and keep it safe and dependable (don't know much about it). ...

All sounds like great advice - will need help though. Where can I find the evap core drains and pollen filters? Sorry...I understand the concept of a/c and all the filters, etc - just never...

Re: Older car = stinky a/c???

Thanks! Found it and vaccuumed it out now for the time being. It is the original (135k) and it was pretty dirty as you described. I'll replace the filter in the next few days. As far as the Ozium...

Re: Older car = stinky a/c???

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'd lean towards growth over time - our saturn is never parked outside so the possibility of leaves and such is low (although not impossible).

I know of Ozium,...

Older car = stinky a/c???

2004 L300 V6 with 135k on the odometer.

I know very little about A/C systems except for that mine kicks out a musty/damp stink for the first 30 seconds of it being turned on.

If I had to live...

Re: Tail lights not working

If my dome light, map (mirror) lights and trunk lights all were not working because of all bad bulbs.....I'd drive to California to deliver you a case of beer.

Truth be said, I pry won't even...

Re: Tail lights not working

So I almost feel stupid for making a thread for this. Ended up being the bulbs! I never would have thought that the two sides would go out at the same time, but I'm relieved to have the issue fixed...

Re: Tail lights not working

Completely understand now. I appreciate the breakdown. Sorry if I was being a little 'slow' on that one. I'm competent (I promise). Thanks again. I'll give the new bulbs a try. If that doesn't...

I'll check this out tonight or tomorrow! Thanks for that advice.

Re: Tail lights not working

As mentioned 1 reply earlier, I know there are bulbs that are able to be replaced, but if they're all lighting up is swapping them out going to solve anything?

Thanks again for the help everyone. ...

Re: Tail lights not working

Thanks in advance for the help. Your statement didn't make sense unfortunately - that or I'm having a slow day.

On each side of the rear, there are 3 bulbs. 2 red and one white. The white is...

Re: Tail lights not working

no recall to the tail lights that I'm aware of. How recent was it? I could always mention that when I'm at the dealership.

Re: Tail lights not working

Come to think about it though - there's really no bulbs to replace, no? As I stated, every bulb in the tail lamp assembly lights up, but the braking light bulbs don't get brighter as they should...

Re: Tail lights not working

Both very good pieces of advice. I'll replace the bulbs to save some embarasment.

Being that they're both running through the BCM, do you suggest I bring my car back and explain the situation...
