Re: Rear brake line burst

I would recommend against splicing in. Sure you can do it, but it is as much or more work than doing it right. If you are still up for jacking up a car and working on it from underneath, you can do...

Re: Rear brake line burst

All of my Saturns and my 2000 Buick Century have new nicopp lines and rubber hoses. Yep I'd do it again but won't need to for a few decades.

Re: Saturn SL-1 clutch not *fully* dis-engaging

I wouldn't steer you wrong - the clutch bleed technique that holydiver posted back in 2011 is a good one!

Re: 96-99 knock sensor wanted

He said in an earlier thread that it was 100s of miles for him to get to a junkyard. Good way to make a couple of bucks and help out a fellow Saturn driver!

Pulling out the hydraulics is not hard. Try that bleeding procedure I linked. It it gets better, it was air.

Unfortunately the Wagner set is NLA.

The slave and master should be a set and never taken apart. So if they replaced the slave and it didn't work right,...

Re: Raybestos front brake hose Manufacturing defect

I used to be loyal to Raybestos. It's no longer a Connecticut company - it's all chinese. Centric is probably ok, but I avoid their rotors now as they degrade really quickly. We need more US...

Re: SC2 no crank

Sounds like a bad ignition switch. It's a super easy part to replace. I think it's held onto the lock cylinder with 2 screws and there is an electrical disconnect there too.

Re: S series junkyard autopsies/who says small cars are unsafe?

The metal valve cover is small and easy to remove. There is a buyer in the forum looking for one.

Re: Need a DOHC Aluminum Valve Cover - 1993 - 1995

One thread up (currently) lanxer57 is asking if he should pull an aluminum valve cover from the junkyard. You should IM him or reply in his junkyard autopsy thread and see if you can work a deal.
