Re: No 2009 Astra for U.S. Customers, 2010 Model Due Later this Year with New Options

2010 model will be a...Buick Astra...http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f70/buick-opel-get-chummy-74687/

I think Saturn is dead, and GM is about to make the same mistake with Buick that they made...

Re: The New Buick Regal: Was this Upcoming Midsize Sedan Originally the Next-Generati

Buick? Redesigning? If it's true what is GM thinking? They invested billion in Saturn's image as different and Billions on Tiger Woods and Buick's golfer image and now they will dump one and invest...

Re: Breaking News: Auto Industry Bailout Plan Dies in the Senate

After enormous losses in 2006 and 2008 I see the Republicans have yet to learn their little stunts do nothing to help their cause. Unfortunately it's the folks on Main Street who have to pay.

Re: What Happens if Your Car Brand is Gone?

Nothing. I have an Oldsmobile Intrigue, I just go to the local GM dealer and get my parts there, no big deal. They don't cost more or anything. You can still see where it used to say Oldsmobile...

Re: Impressions from sitting in an Astra

I can't stop watching this. This car is insane in a very literal sense, I really want to drive it. If it makes it here as the RL, I want it!

Re: quiet smooth ride tires for 96 sl1

I got Sumitomo HTR-200's on my 97 SL1. Good grip, quiet and smooth, excellent wet traction, and dirt cheap on TireRack. I was so pleased I bought HTR H4's for my Intrigue and my brother got some for...

Well, I absolutely love my 98 Intrigue, though what tackepj said does make more sense

Re: How Sad - Ten Worst Automobiles Today

I always thought it was a good deal. If it wasn't for the marginal ratings on its European counterpart's crash tests I would consider it. It's got a bundle of features, looks nice (the redesigned...

Re: New here.....Question??

I (officially) learned to drive in a Taurus, currently drive an Intrigue, and have driven Nissan, Dodge, VW, Toyota and others (all belonging to others in the family or friends). But the one I loved...

Re: New smaller Saturn coming!

Agreed and agreed. Charlie should give a call in to our friend Jill Lajdziak and let her kow how we ALL feel. I want it NOW! And if GM wants to seize the market while it's up for grabs they'd be wise...

Re: New smaller Saturn coming!

By S-Series replacement I meant something small and economical. The ION was bigger and not nearly as fuel efficient. A Corsa would fit this bill better, and likely have similar interior room (though...

Re: New smaller Saturn coming!

I agree 100% and worse yet, the much needed S-Series replacement is announced to come only in 5 years...Almost 5 years after the S-Series was discontinued. we need a petition or something here, if...

Re: Warranty Repairs

Go with the Saturn, I wouldn't base the decision on if it broke down. Most new car problems are likely be minor, like a squeak, small leak, or fidgety power window if anything. Also, not sure what...

Re: XR - going manual

Here's something I've always wondered, can you downshift an auto to slow the vehicle down or will that burn something up? Just curious how that all works...

Re: New smaller Saturn coming!

European cars go through multiple crash tests and evaluations. There's a frontal test that is the same procedure now used by the Insurance intitute. There's a side test like the NHTSA, a side impact...

Re: New smaller Saturn coming!

I think it's ridiculous GM is taking 5 years to bring the CORSA over. An European Corsa not only meets but is above all American standards for safety and emissions. Nothing needs to be changed,...

Re: Compressor, Tensioner, or Other?

Took a while but finally took the car to a guy that works with my gf's dad who is a mechanic. Tensioner was overtightened by the dishonest mechanic I had (the same one that messed up my fuel economy)...

Re: Seafoam through the PCV hose...and more!

So, do I want to put enough in that it will smoke or is it better to feed slowly? I just want to be sure it all gets cleaned out good.

Also, should I do an oil change afterwards (like I do when...

Re: Odd automatic transmission behavior

The easy way to test your shifting is to very slowly accelerate from 0-10MPH, to where it shifts into 2nd gear at or below 10 MPH. If it clunks, hesitates, or is harsh you have a problem. If not your...

Re: Compressor, Tensioner, or Other?

TAM is practically brand-new (less than 3000 miles) Pioneer brand. Dogbone I had a mechanic do, I had already smashed enough fingers doing the struts and lower tranny mount, plus I had no clue how to...

Re: Odd automatic transmission behavior

You sure you're not thinking the torque converter locking is the first shift to 3rd? It could be more noticeable if you're overheating your tranny.

I wouldn't put any additives in your...

Re: Poor fuel economy

I hadone and it failed in (I guess) 500 miles. The price difference is minimal, go with DELCO instead.

David, did you reset the computer when you put a new one in? If you didn't I think it takes 3...
