Re: gas mileage 07 outlook?

Keep your tires inflated properly, don't drive with a heavy foot (moving mass uses gas, so try to keep momentum and don't speed), use mid level grade gas - it helps just a bit. Past that, anything...

Re: 13.8 mpg ????

We have an 07, drive about 60/40 city/hwy and have routinely seen mileage between 17 and 20mpg. Not sure how you would be getting so low unless it is an issue with the engine or simply driving...

Re: Power Steering noise

We just had ours replaced yesterday for the same reason. Didn't have any issues with the dealership this time, although when we brought it in a few months ago, they said they didn't hear the sound,...

Re: Tire Chains For 2009 Outlook

A review of these on Amazon said they are very flimsy and broke when they used them, so I'm not sure if they are really a good choice.

Re: 07 Outlook stalls for no reason

This happened to me and my wife the other night. Started it remotely, put the key in, put it in reverse, backed up a bit, and it just died. Hasn't happened before or again, but it was really...

Re: Why black interior?

Yep, that's why we have a black interior. I've had tan and gray interiors before, and they all end up looking dingy and permanently dirty, whereas the black interiors just need a vacuum and dusting...

Re: How many miles per tank of gas

You probably should. I routinely get about 18mpg in town and 26-27mpg on the highway. How you drive, and how fast you drive on the freeway has a lot to do with your actual mileage, though. You...

Re: Initial oil change

Funny thing I just remembered.

When we purchased the car, we asked the dealer how often we should bring it in for oil changes. They told me either every 3000 miles, or when the computer tells you...

Re: Initial oil change

Either way doesn't hurt, so if you like to do it more often, go for it. Oil and engines have come a long way, so following the guidance of the computer will probably not have a noticeable effect on...

Re: Radio static on local stations

I have the same issue with our Outlook. I have had the dealership look at it and they say that this is normal and there is nothing wrong with the radio. It's been frustrating, but we usually only...

Re: 2-Way Advanced Remote Start

Short answer, yep. Outlook is a lame duck, Traverse is taking over the high volume CUV duties for GM. Too bad, as I think the Outlook looks the best of any lambda offering, but Saturn is too small...

Re: UAW Strikes Outlook Crossover Plant

Unions have gone from great organizations that help workers get what they need to what is wrong with this country in my opinion. I have been involved with unions and they are nothing but greedy and...

Re: Engine noise

I've noticed a rattling or buzzing noise when I walk by my car after using the remote start. Sounds horrible, but haven't had time to get it into the dealer to check it out.

Re: New Computer Chips?

According to many of the comments in the seller's feedback, they are not. The claims on this listing are absolutely ridiculous.

Re: Question about the Cross bars

I installed them on our Outlook last fall and they worked very well. Have had no problems with them at all, including noise issues.

Re: 2007 Outlook Transmission Problems!

We didn't see any measurable impact. It seemed like it went down at first, but now we're seeing slightly higher numbers than before, so I think overall there really wasn't much of a change.

Re: Fuel Light comes on...how many gallons left?

It's pretty typical to have 2 gallons left in a tank when the light comes on. I don't know if it is some sort of mandate, but it is extremely common.

Re: What is your RPM at 70mph?

I doubt the difference is due to the wheels. I have the 19s, and I have never seen mileage as low as 13, but I may just drive flatter and longer roads than you do in the city.

Re: What is your RPM at 70mph?

This can also depend on many factors. It's all about how much effort the vehicle needs to exert to maintain that speed. Are you driving on a level road? Are you driving with or against the wind? ...

Here's a link to the feature, which includes the video. Apparently it is just stating that the Saturn Outlook is one of Consumer Reports' picks for one of the least expensive cars to own in it's...

Re: Radio controls in the back seat...

I don't think they work independently. I may be wrong, but I think there is only one radio tuner, so regardless of the location of the change, it changes the station. There is the ability to listen...

Re: what changes would you like to see?

They are absolutely terrible. I love my car, but these open tracks are simply terrible.
