Re: "new" 96 SL1

I use a universal antifreeze (prestone or peak) that is good for 5 years / 100k~150k miles. I do something slightly modified from what OldNuc (RIP) did.

Re: Shell Rotella Gas Truck 5w30

Re: New to Saturn

Ideally, find and pick up a matching color front bumper cover at the local u-pull it junkyard. The hard part is finding one. Extremely easy to remove - I had my kids (teens at the time) pull the...

Re: I need, not want, a RHD USPS wagon but can't find one.

Saturn exported RH drive S-series to Japan. Many years ago, I recall a post about some body /company importing a Japanese RH car Saturn from Japan (via Canada, IIRC). Might be worth looking into?

Hey, it turns out I lied and have direct experience with Rockauto and that top mount after all.

Re: 2000 Saturn SL2

On my '02 SC2, the TPS went bad with classic symptoms (2k rpm at idle until car was turned off and on again).

New TPS from rockauto, same symptoms. Had to replace it again before I got a TPS...

Re: 1999 sl2 saturn 5sp 238,000 miles

If this is your only car and you rely on it for work, school, or shopping, etc., you may want to re-think anything that affects its reliability.

There's a quote about cars being reliable, fast,...

Re: Motor Mount

No direct experience with R/A, but DEA used the same part number A2827 for both solid and frownie mounts.

The good news is that "1st Design" is what the solid mount came to be called after the...

Re: 2000 Saturn SL2

+1, can't tell you how many times someone has said, "part X is new, just replaced, so it can't be that" and jump through all kinds of hoops, then turns out new part X was defective or something
