Re: Happy 2017 Saturnfans! Any Resolutions?
The clunking is often caused by worn sway bar to lca bushings. I have mistakenly replaced perfectly good original struts only to find out afterwards that it was the sway bar bushings. It is difficult...

Re: 1996 SC1 Sludge in coolant reservoir
With no history this problem becomes more of a crap shoot. Is it possible that the assumed cracked head may in turn have overheated the engine resulting in the oil consumption problem ? And then...

Re: 2000 sl2 overheating

Re: Doesn't make sense to me
If the water pump is leaking, they usually drip down the backside of the pulley. If you run your finger around the bottom rear edge of the water pump pulley after the engine has cooled down, you will...

Re: Rear Brake Wheel Cylinder Replacement
If changing the cylinder is what you intended to do, then the broken bolt means nothing, except for getting another bolt. Get the brake line off and put in the new cylinder.
If the brake line nut...

Re: fuel line help..
Just grab all the different sizes and return the ones that don't work. I think the 5/16 is the one IIRC,

Re: no start 02 sc2
Check the EIS fuse in the under hood box, and any other fuse that controls the injectors.
If it was getting gas but not starting the plugs should be wet

Re: Good Lord..
There were two separate incidents within a few days of each other. Can't figure why a spammer would even bother with this site.

Re: SL2 2001 Manual 258***/ lots of questions
When replacing the ects, the connector should be checked for green corrosion inside on the contacts. If the connector has been replaced, often times the splices are poor or the wiring may be frayed...

Re: SL2 2001 Manual 258***/ lots of questions
Sorry but your SL2 sounds like a train wreck. One qt. oil in 200 miles or one hot day is close to being unmanageable. The very first thing you should have done is a compression test, which will tell...

Re: strut failure after 1 year?
Other mechanical failures can result in clunking also, notably sway bar bushings or detached sway bar ends. Have you confirmed that it is definitely the struts ?

Re: Shaking Steering Wheel While Braking
More than once I have found the shaking to be caused by sticking brake caliper pins. After a 15 minute drive with minimal braking, touch the wheels to see if one is hotter than the rest. If you cant...
