Removed the throttle body, cleaned and replaced the TPS with a genuine GM 21024706. While I had the space, I removed the ground wires (front and back) on the engine and sanded to remove corrosion....

I read that before and didn't quiet get it. Do you mean the deaeration line? I don't think that is a coolant feed line, rather its purpose is to allow purging of trapped air back to the reservoir....

I hear ya brother! Yes! they do run hotter. And, they are inconsistent out of the box. Yours running 200° ~205° shouldn't be to bad.

Is that for just the DOHC ?
The reason I ask is my 2000 SC1 (SOHC) does not have the the pre-cat or the air pump. I think the build date was built in late 1999 (I think :|)

couple of things to try - check the air bleed line from the head to the reservoir and see if it is plugged. It is the small line / hose that enters the reservoir near the back. Some say you can see...
