Dizzy Re: tune up on 01 saturn L 100 4 cyl.

So your spark plugs haven't been replaced for 145K miles?? Yikes... It's almost certain that your engine miss is occurring due to the prolonged replacement interval of the spark plugs, and the...

Re: Embarking on Replacement of Emergency Brake Cables

If you're referring to the 4" cable hooking into the parking brake mechanism inside of the "hat" segment of the rear rotor then your likely, and perhaps only, source is a wrecking yard. That's where...

Re: LW1 2000 - fuelt tanks straps / engine rebuilt questions

02 LW300 is correct about the straps. Our model year 2000 L's have a smaller fuel tank: 13.1 gallons (49.6[?] liters). Short of getting lucky enough to find a M.Y. 2000 L-Series car at a wrecking...

I happen to have picked up a sub-woofer in good condition, the amplifier, and all necessary wiring from Pick-Your-Part to upgrade the sound system to an AAS. About four years prior to that I'd...

Re: L300 P/S fluid

All fluid capacities are listed within the Owner's Handbook. Now that you have three L's with a V6 then you should find the same information within each handbook.

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Broken Mounting Bolt

Yes, this is true...if one is looking at section 2A regarding the four cylinder engine. (The torque values are listed on pages 1 & 2 with nothing at all for mounts. I find it odd that the Haynes...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Rear Brake Pad Swap (Special Tool Needed) ?

As fdryer has already pointed out, if your scanner does not specifically state that it can read ABS codes then it cannot. I happen to own an Innova 3030f OBDII / ABS scanner. When originally...

Re: New tires, what a difference!

I didn't think that I'd have anything more to add to the previous post, but I do. Not only has the ride smoothed out, there is far less overall road noise communicated into the cabin! As I was...

Re: Lw200 speaker reccomendations?

If by "component," you mean having a separate woofer and tweeter at each door then, yes, that is what our cars have.

What exactly does it mean when you say "it sounded horrible?" What was the...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Broken Mounting Bolt

Cudos, BrandonKastning, good work!

OH, NO! :ugh:

Which mounting bolt and where was it? (This is why knowing torque specifications and using a torque ratchet is really important.)

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Seafoam in crankcase housing?

FWIW, I've had no difficulty with making returns to RockAuto when necessary. They've been straightforward and honest with me, and have provided my refund in a very timely manner.

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Rear Brake Pad Swap (Special Tool Needed) ?

Whether clean or dirty, brake fluid tends to perform its basic function. However, with time this hydraulic fluid begins to break down, losing some of its capacity to avoid boiling when under pressure...

Re: 2001 Saturn L300 - v6 3.0 Liter - Rear Brake Pad Swap (Special Tool Needed) ?

The 2000 L-Series Brake...
