You must get some real good pricing from your machine shop boring around here is 50 per hole and a set of pistons off ebay or rock auto is another 150.

Easiest and cheapest thing to do would replace it with a lower mileage unit from a junkyard. 2nd would be a rebuild this should give you another 200k of worry free mileage. I you want more power then...

There's a little oring that goes around the oil pick up tube This may be your problem I had issues with oil pressure in a rebuild, this oring was loose fit on the pick up allowing the pump to suck...

Just cut though the inner race with a dremel cut off wheel and hit the split with a hammer and chisel. it will crack the race then you can just slide it off

Ah he said it was a 1999, therefore a OBD 2 vehicle. I never had any good luck with the wireless port scanners. bring it to autozone and have them scan the codes. The "reset" button sounds a little...

Sounds to me that the Cat is melted. Remove upper O2 sensor and take it for a drive. It will be loud but if it runs better than the cat is toast.

Correct try and stick with sealed power or sil vo lite. I do have one engine with the DNJ pistons running in there for 50k miles with out any issues

The ground terminal block is there one of the black wires goes to the ground point. It's the contacts in the terminal block that get all crapped up

replace connector, even if you think you cleaned it up once those contacts get burnt they will always show high resistance
