My Outlook

I haven't posted in some time, just wanted to log on and give my opinion of my Outlook after 20,000 miles and 10 months of ownership.

Still in love!

Recently had a few software fixes, including...

Back from Disney World

Saw a bunch of Acadias (at least 10), but I think only 1 other Outlook, and 2 Enclaves.

Went on Test Track, and after the ride, you get to preview some of GM's cars. They had an Enclave, so I went...

Re: Better Change Your Oil!!!

Changed mine at 8000 miles today, along with tire rotation (which I have been telling my wife to get done for over 2000 miles).

I am not at all concerned with waiting for 8000 miles. Oil monitor...

Re: Outside temp gauge

OK, finally got it fixed today.

Was told the sensor had fallen behind the radiator.....???

The sensor was remounted and works fine now.

My question....Why was this not found last visit? What...

Re: Outside temp gauge

Just to clarify......

My tempature gauge does not adjust after a few minutes.

It will run 30 degrees or more higher than the normal outside temperature even hours after the vehicle has been...

Re: Ford Flex 2008 MY

In my opinion, it looks like a cross between a FJ

and that car the Grizwald's drove...

Re: My JD Power survey

No, I can drive for an hour and it will read 90-100 on a nice 70 degree day. When I took it to Florida for spring break, it actually got up to 134 once.

Re: My JD Power survey

I don't know if I am experiencing what others are.

When cruising, say 70mph, and you kick it in, it takes 0.5-1 second to downshift and speed up. I don't know if it is a transmission lag, or the...

My JD Power survey

My Outlook gets great marks.

The only complaints were:

Rear wiper controls poorly placed (too easy to engage when engaging high beams)- minor annoyance

Outside tempature readings 15-30...

Back from Spring Break

Just got back from Seagrove Beach, FL.

I saw 2 other Outlooks, and probably 4-6 Acadias. (anyone on here?)

The most common SUV/CUV's I saw were Envoy's and Pacificas. Either GM and Chrsyler...

Re: Front Windshield

Upon further review, it is not the tint, or the safety film.

My wife washed the car with Armor All's Car Wash Concentrate. The bottle says "Brilliant spot-free shine", "Clean rinsing formula", and...

Re: Front Windshield

No, I mean I tried to clean it and it doesn't appear to have anything on it. A closer exam looks like the safety film is bubbling between the glass sheets.

Front Windshield

I have noticed what I thought of as tree sap on the front windsheild. The pollen count here in Georgia is over 5000, and everything is covered in a sticky mess. But, I just went out to clean the...

Re: Ok, we are getting close

My oil life monitor from Onstar is 77% at almost 3,000 miles. At this pace, I will near 10K before needing a change.

Outside temp gauge

Took it in today to get it calibrated, because it has been running 20-30 degrees higher than actual temperature. They did everything they knew how and never fixed it. They said they would have to...

Ok, we are getting close

to having to think about an oil change. (~2500 miles)

Is everyone gonna trust the oil life monitor, or change on a regular basis?
