Re: CVT trouble leads to Vue not starting

Two separate and unrelated problems. Highly coincidental, maybe.. but rare..

2002 and 2003 were known for two items;

1) broken / jumped timing chains

2) CVT transmissions fail

It was a...

Re: Inside rear tire wear

Look very carefully at the upper and lower control arms where they attach to the frame. Very common to have broken bolts that will cause misalignment.

ALSO - Look at the trailing arm link where...

Re: Subframe rot, trans output shaft seal

I suspect your shift cables are the reason it shifts hard.

You may consider a new clutch slave cylinder while you have it apart. You will need to split the transmission from the engine. Not hard...

Re: Subframe rot, trans output shaft seal

Been there, done that. :-)

I replaced the subframe on my 2003 last year. I bought a rust free frame in Texas for $85. It came out of a 2008 Equinox. Fortunately, the same subframe is used in a...

Re: 2003 2.2L sparks, cranks, fuel pressure... no start

MY THOUGHTS:

Do the oil in the cylinder first, this will seal the rings and provide you with a better indication of compression. A tablespoon or two is all you need. Then a quick re-do of the...
