Re: Headliner

My wife used some fabric glue to stick ours back up into place. Been about 2 years, and it is still holding.

Re: 2008 Vue XE questions. 2.4 auto.

Some of the early 2.4 08s had a heater core issue which was fixed with a recall/service bulletin when the vehicle was brought in for routine service. I had several friends with this model and it they...

Re: Vents Not Adjusting According to Setting

Just a stab, not sure if this is related to your issue or not as I got a little lost in the prior posts.

On my wife's 06 Vue (3.5) we had problems with the air flow not going to the correct place...

Re: locked keys in vue and its in neutral

Couple of options - if you have onstar, call them and see if they can do a remote unlock. (Had to do that once). Another idea is to call road service and say you locked the keys in the car. A slim...

Re: Headliner sagging

We had the issue on our 06 and 08 Vues at the front by the windshield. My wife fixed it with fabric glue and a couple of strips of fabric adhesive to hold it in place while the glue dried. Been two...

Re: "spark or flame could explode battery" warning light

If it is the alternator, might as well take a look at the serpentine belt while you're at it. Need to fuss with the belt when you change the alternator. My belt was starting to show some wear on my...

Re: A Saturn owner no more

Yep, you are lucky you are in the window.

One thing I can say is the local dealer has gone over and above helping us get into a replacement vehicle. Funny thing, they had a typo on the window...

Re: Check Engine, TCS lights, won't shift

Bring it in. They should honor the warranty.

They go by date of purchase, not delivery. I was off by 4 days based on purchase but inside the window based on delivery and have all the...

Re: A Saturn owner no more

Welcome to the club. Down to one, my wife's 2006 Vue. Said goodbye to my 08 Vue when the tranny went last month. Picked up a used 2015 Ford Fiesta.

Re: Security light on when parked?

I know that on my 2006 and 2008 Vues the security light flashes as you described it when it is armed (for lack of a better word). Never had any issues with the system not working as I tripped it more...

Re: GM Saturn Customer Assistance Success?

I got $500 for mine with a dead tranny. It also was going to need new tires (next year had I kept it) and it had 89900 miles on it. I figured $500 was at least something (especially on a trade for a...

Re: GM Saturn Customer Assistance Success?

Like GM7 said, 155K tranny has served an honorable life.

I was the the other poster - 4 days past the warranty based on the day the paperwork was signed, inside the the warranty if you go by the...

Re: P0700 Code and 6T70 Transmission

I most likely won't buy another GM after 7 Saturns. My wife( Cathy) wants to get a Ford Taurus a little further down the road. We had one back in the late 80s and 90s and she really loved the ride....

Re: P0700 Code and 6T70 Transmission

To close the loop on this saga. Seeing as GM refused to budge on the replacement, we ended up trading the Vue in on a used car.

The dealer had a 2105 Ford Fiesta with low miles and in great...

Re: P0700 Code and 6T70 Transmission

Got the word back from GM on my tranny issue - sorry, but you are on your own. The date they used is a hard cutoff as it is a "special program" vs a warranty. The senior advisor even went back with...

Re: P0700 Code and 6T70 Transmission

I talked to my regular mechanic and his recommendation was to go the dealer route based on being the original owner and how close I was to the warranty. To get it covered, the repair must be done by...

Re: 14404B trans wave plate Problems Communicating w GM

For the original poster it should be clear cut. For my situation, it depends on what date they use as I have paperwork showing two different dates - the later of which is the day they actually gave...

Re: 14404B trans wave plate Problems Communicating w GM

When mine failed, all I got was a check engine light and a P0700 code. Had it towed in to the local GM dealer and they diagnosed it as a e-5-R failure. Only issue is trying to determine who will pay...

Re: Selling Vue with Transmission Problems

The 2008 Vue with the 3.6L has the 6T70 transmission which is used in a lot of GM products. GM put out a special warranty on it out to 10 years/120,000 miles for issues dealing with the 3-5-R wave...

Re: Ok to use Lucas trans fix in Saturn Vue?

My wrenching skills aren't the greatest (nil) but I do some mean audio work. :-). We talked about whether to dump it or not, but it is running real well and if I can get a few more years I will be...

Re: P0700 Code and 6T70 Transmission

I posted this in another somewhat unrelated thread (about adding Lukas to a tranny), but here is the update:

To continue - got off the phone with the dealer and it has a bad wave plate. It will...

Re: Ok to use Lucas trans fix in Saturn Vue?

To continue this part of the thread - got off the phone with the dealer and it has a bad wave plate. It will cost $4648 out the door for a sealed transmission with a 3 year/100k mile warranty or...

Re: Ok to use Lucas trans fix in Saturn Vue?

89,900 and it was AZ driving. Tranny fluid had been changed at around 35 and 65K. Was just thinking the other day it was time to do it again. In the process of playing telephone tag with them to see...

Re: Ok to use Lucas trans fix in Saturn Vue?

The wave plate issue is not a recall, just an extended warranty to 10 years or 120,000 miles. I have my Vue in for that and waiting to see what they find and how much it will cost me. My warranty...

P0700 Code and 6T70 Transmission

The saga begins. Got a P0700 code last night and confirmed it with Onstar this morning. They weren't able to pull the code last night for some reason. Waiting on the tow to get it to the dealership...
