Re: A new twist on an old favorite: Hesitation AFTER replacing ECTS

I'm not sure from your descriptions if the sensor itself is broken or the connections broke. Remove the connector and examine the sensor. Remove the sensor if necessary for examination.

Re: 2007 Ion engine sludge?

Did this mechanic show you oil removed from your engine and oil filter to show evidence of sludge? I never use repair shops but a wheel bearing and lower control arm failure, lack of access to a...

Re: Need Help-No Overhead Lights at All- 2006 VUE V6 AWD

1-Did you check every fuse in all the fuse panels? This is the first step as fused power goes everywhere. Only one fuse or two may blow to disable interior lighting. As a general guideline, lighting...

Re: A new twist on an old favorite: Hesitation AFTER replacing ECTS

There's only one correct way of EFI systems - everything works and all sensors are plugged in to allow the engine computer to run as designed. Any sensor disconnected forces the EFI system to run in...

Re: Need Help! Brake lights work intermittently or stay on while driving

Laura, welcome to Saturnfans and hopefully a member or more here can help with a solution. First thing to do here is repost this question in the Aura forums to reach every Aura member that may have a...

Re: '97 SW1 A/C doesn't do anything

^ Excellent parts diagram. My bad as I presumed the pressure sensor was on the other end of the discharge hose. The sensor is labeled#16 and on another hose leading to the firewall connections. If...

Re: 2002 SC2 Key Fob Programming

Smh at the last sentence. I suppose the only reason dealer techs get lost wandering around the scantool menu lists may be due to either near lack of use/unfamiliarity(!?) or not given formal training...

Re: '97 SW1 A/C doesn't do anything

Can you take pictures? Warning! Every digital camera and cellphone creates large image files too large to include as thumbnail files (150kb limit). Resizing images is relatively easy if you know...

Re: 97 sl1 ac problems

^ You may be mistaken, twice, presuming ac pressure switches fail. They don't, period. To prove it requires you to pressurize the pressure switch above 40 psi and measure resistance. Below...

Re: A new twist on an old favorite: Hesitation AFTER replacing ECTS

Pull the (two wire) coolant sensor connector and examine it. The flat nosed brass sensor is fine since it corrected the original failure prone one made of plastic that disintegrated from coolant...

Re: how does a/c work

Melissa_M, you have nothing to lose by turning on ac. Either it works or doesn't. There's a mid point between where it works but not enough cold air comes out the vents. The pressure switch is a...

Re: instrument panel blower relay issue

If the fuse panel melted in the exact same spot, did you examine the terminals underneath the fuse panel and wire(s) connecting to the terminal that burned? It may be a poor mechanical connection...

Re: Air Conditioning Problem?

Your system lost refrigerant. Buy and use a uv blacklight to find the source of the leak. Dye will glow greenish yellow, marking the leak site. Examples of dye - remove one of the service caps and...

Re: '97 SW1 A/C doesn't do anything

2k rpm, low side@35 psi and high side@100 psi means your system lost refrigerant. It leaked out. If you don't have one, buy and use a uv blacklight to find the source of the leak. Your compressor is...

Re: '97 SW1 A/C doesn't do anything

Are those pressures measured at idle or 2k rpm? S-series ac systems are measured at 2k rpm. And did not assume the compressor is faulty. Too many assumptions made without refrigeration knowledge...

Re: Stock Thermostat Temp? 180F or 195F?

I don't have 100% access to all service manuals. Since t-stats are 180F, the service manuals are incorrect. I have limited access to service bulletins that presumably would address this to correct...
