Re: Can you get a false positive for a lost communication to the Body Control Module?

Great follow-up! I think you're narrowing the problem down.

1- verifying 12v power to both sides of the injector fuse with ignition ON is meaningful. Not seeing 12 on any injector connector...

Re: New owner of a 2002 LW300

At one time, anyone had free access to GM electronic service manuals up to model year 2005 or so. For a brief time I had access to alldata and Mitchell. Not anymore. Bits and pieces of free access...

Re: 2008 Saturn Vue white exhaust vapor

Normal. Once the exhaust system heats up, overnight condensation boils away and exhausts as steam. Heavy steam on cold startup but less after the engine warms up as you described. After the engine...

Re: 2008 Astra crank no start

Neither GM 2.2L nor 2.4L ecotec(?) engines have camshaft position sensors. Your 1.8L engine has crank and camshaft sensors. As suggested, service manuals are more informative than hearsay unless...

Re: New owner of a 2002 LW300

My bad. My laptop didn't expand the snapshot but my tablet did. Both snapshots are enlarged for clarity.

Re: 2008 Astra crank no start

Not expert on EFI systems but know a few things that may help. Insofar as Saturn models, the crank position sensor is the electronic heartbeat of ECMs and PCMs. It provides precise timing signals to...

Re: New owner of a 2002 LW300

Right side screen glare obscures values. Try taking snapshots under shade with out glare reflecting off the display.

Re: 2006 Ion-Cold Stalling

With new plugs and ignition coil pack, guessing can be expensive since pepboys didn't solve this problem.

Review your owner's manual on maintenance. Replaced fuel filter? Cleaned throttle body?...

Re: New owner of a 2002 LW300

Virtually every cellphone and digital camera creates very large image files, several megabytes per snapshot. Great of you're a photographer spending hundreds of dollars to enlarge images for poster...

Re: Can you get a false positive for a lost communication to the Body Control Module?

I think all Saturns never used dielectric compound, a greasy silicone like substance to coat electrical connections for a water/moisture repellent. Small packets are sold at auto stores to grease...

Re: Can you get a false positive for a lost communication to the Body Control Module?

I'm sorry for your efforts, switching suspect injectors for old ones and still having injector issues. I was hoping incorrect injectors created problems for the ecm, preventing it from operating...

Re: 2008 Vue with Bad Battery?

A 2017 battery with a 3yr warranty may be on its last legs. The best way to determine if the battery is on its way out is by auto parts store testing. Most auto stores selling batteries should have...

Re: Another AC issue. Expansion valve stuck open???

With your above average knowledge of ac repairs on several vehicles to practice, do you have a uv blacklight or not?

Presuming loss of refrigerant, at any level, the thermal expansion valve...

Re: 2000 LS 2.2L Instrument cluster

I meant telescoping as you put it. My bad for suggesting up and down as in adjusting steering wheel height to accommodate drivers of different height.

Re: 2008 3.6 V6 Throttle body/MAF cleaning

Re: 2.2L Tuning who needs it please come in!

Ionben570, are you aware of asking questions in a thread started in '06, 14 years ago that hasn't been answered at all? All idle speculation. The 2.2L GM ecotec engine is used in several models. None...

Re: Won't Start after Clutch Replacement... Help!

While suspecting lack of spark, did you check for injector operation via spark plug removal and examining them for wet fuel? Fuel pressure and fuel spraying out the fuel test valve verfies pump...

Re: Running hotter after tune up

You'd definitely notice a colder running t-stat if you're in the snow belt as the majority of S-series owners complained of a lack of heat. Once the t-stat was replaced, complaints of too much heat...

Re: VIDEO: Sweet smell/white vapor/coolant loss

A general rule about cooling system hoses is examining hose coupling to fittings. If the coolant hose bulges to a higher diameter than the clamp, the hose has deteriorated and should be replaced.

Re: Steerin wheel locked?

Does the steering column shifting up and down interfere with the steering column lock? Are they related or two separate issues?
