Everyone, keep in mind that some car owners are completely lazy/clueless/frightened of brake systems and the upkeep of brake systems. They might have never look under the car...

Follow-up: It was the axle. The Poly end bushings on the control bar are fine, despite using them in the winter.
The inner CV joint went bad, with sloppy backlash. Plenty of grease....

...from a 590-mile trip. Only about an hour of A/C use.
Mostly highway & the posted speed is up to 75 mph
The suction-cup navigator shows my average speed to date is 57 mph....

After grinding round and rebalancing**, I drove the T/A Sports on the expressway.
Conclusion: Very good :) I recommend them. Closest to factory tires I’ve had yet.

Letting everyone know, the BF Goodrich T/A Sport 205/60R15 fit the O.E. alloy wheels, are less harsh on sharp bumps and ride steady on “rain grooves”.
Tire clearance to the strut tubes is ~1/2 inch...

Very good! The 1997 Saturn Full Line v2 PDF is the brochure I used to compare 5th gear ratios between the engine options to decide which to buy :yes: More DOHC horsepower won out over fewer SOHC...
