Re: Soft brake pedal.

My Aura has always had a hard pedal with the engine off and the pedal drops a bit and goes squishy after I start it. I just figured that's the way it is once the booster is in operation. Might be...

Re: Check Gas cap, ABS warning light show up together

I wouldn't think so, maybe a wiring problem. Read trouble codes to get some direction to start.

Re: 08 aura ect sensor or thermostat issue

As a general rule P0128 is caused by a stuck open thermostat. Without a scanner that can display the ECT sensor temperature output it's guesswork. However, in your case with the gauge indication...

Re: stabilitrack and service hybrid warning, no codes

I use a Launch EZdiag bluetooth scanner. With the software installed on my phone I can read/clear codes and live data from every module. It was $100 but has been discontinued.
Not sure but being a...

Re: stabilitrack and service hybrid warning, no codes

You need a code reader capable of reading more than just engine codes. It needs to be able to read the codes from the modules associated with those error messages.
Many cleared codes will return...

Re: Vue keeps going to limp mode

Are the symptoms and codes exactly the same after changing the throttle body? Are you using a scanner that can read current, pending and history codes? Are you reading codes while the reduced engine...

Re: circuit question B post continuity to ground

How many ohms? I would expect some resistance as you are reading back through the components in the car so don't expect an open circuit. Short the + and - cables together to discharge capacitors,...

Re: Battery drain on l100

I can't explain what happened but I see what you mean about the starter getting hot. The ignition switch probably caused the starter to engage and the starter cranked until it melted the brush...

Re: Vue keeps going to limp mode

The ECM monitors the actual throttle blade position using throttle position (TP) sensor 1 and 2. If the ECM cannot detect the minimum throttle position, DTC P2176 sets.
Inspect and clean the...

Re: Coolant fan stayed on after turning off the car

If there is no check engine light and the fans turned off on their own, it's likely normal but check your coolant level. Keep an eye on the temperature gauge for indication that it may be reading...
