Re: Best way to deal with Vti failure

Take it to the dealer of your choice, and dump it for whatever you can get for it.

I kept mine and it bit me in the butt.

Right now, it's certainly worth alot more with a functioning...

Re: Bye, Bye '06 Awd V-6

The bottom line is, the Acura will retain more of it's value, longer than the Saturn would have.

Case in point, 2005 base model MDX's are retailing used for around $31,000.00. They have an...

Re: Poor Gas Mileage, Exhaust Issues Continue

Your Vue is AWD. The additional weight and complexity of the drive train is going to cut your fuel economy by about 12% when compared to a FWD model. Additionally, driving 74 mph consumes about...

Scott...

You don't have to go. I stayed, even after getting rid of Saturn and am having a great time here!

I'm not at all suprised by the low trade offer for your Vue. Not in the least.

I...

Re: Front-end spring noise

I had to have two sets put on within three years. They seemed to only work (well) for about 12 months, then the noise gradually came back.

Good luck...

Re: Front-end spring noise

Have you changed the sway-bar links as well?

My '03 made a terrible clunking sound whenever I went over a bump (speed bump, pot hole, curb etc) on cold mornings.

It was out of warranty, so...

Re: Saturn Vue transmittions

It would be in your best interest to avoid any Vue built before 2004.

The 2002-2005 FWD/AWD 4 cylinder was equipped with a CVT automatic transmission that has proved out to be a reliability...

Re: 2008 VUE... I drove one today :)

Both the Toyota and the Honda have active head restraints as well.

Most people don't like them, because of the position that their head rests on the head restraints. Alot of women complain,...

Re: 2008 VUE... I drove one today :)

Ok, correct me if I'm wrong.

The 2008 Vue FWD V-6 is 1.15 times heavier than the 2007 FWD V-6 and the engine produces just 84% the power of the current 3.5 liter V-6? The 2008 Vue has just 86% of...

Re: Fuel MPG went from Great to BAD

I'll bet there's nothing wrong with your Vue.

Last year, the EPA banned the used of MTBE as an oxygenate in fuel. It was used to reduce the vehicle emissions, but remained in tact after the...

Re: See ya all.... thanks for all the information!

Over on the thread, "Not Impressed", I used over two pages of typing to illustrate what happens to the Saturn's trade equity in the first 6 months of ownership. I kept repeating over and over that...

Re: Not Impressed...

Mellissa,

I don't really care that you believe me or not. The market forces dictate what the price of the used Vue is, not how much you're in love with it. Those prices are what they are. No...

Re: Not Impressed...

Yes Mellissa, all cars do depriciate once you drive them off the lot.
Some just do so faster than others. :)

Just for Giggles, I'll illustrate this with a 2006 CR-V (alot closer to the Vue in...

Originally, Mellissa, The conversation was between BobbyP and I. He used his Redline Vue as the example, so that's why I continued with it.

Re: 2007 Vue wind noise

No Mellissa. I happen to think the wife's CR-V is by far the best small SUV I've ever owned. By this point in my Vue onwership experience, I was already back at the dealer for the SECOND time.

Re: 2006 Vue Bcm (body Control Module) Failure

Yes, that is a symptom of a BCM problem. If you do a search, alot of 2002-2003 BCM's were replaced because of that problem. It would not surprise me if the problem carried over to 2004's too.

When you consider the Greenline also consider this:

Re: 2006 Vue Bcm (body Control Module) Failure

I don't know what was causing the problem. Apparently, neither does the dealer (they still can't fix it, and for the second owner for crying out loud!)

What gets me is, within the space of two...
