Re: engine knock

I believe you will need a 14mm wrench and a few minutes before anyone will be able to point you in a direction of your noise

Re: 96 sl2 not adjusting to elevation. cedar city,ut

I'm from Utah too. with the elevation you will notice a power drop. The inclines can also be problematic. What are the issues you are having?

Re: Replacing motor mounts

The DEA and anchor mounts from rock auto are the "frownie" kind. Most people are against them because they do vibrate excessively. They do work better than a 15 year old stock mount with separated...

Re: Shifter bushing - which one?

I've used the plastic crappy napa one before. It held just fine for 40k miles and I sold the car with it still on there.

Re: Dilema with Selling

a running/driving car can usually get you 800-1000 dollars. Clean it up and see.

California has bigger problems than emissions. I used to live there too

Re: Any one make a DIY short throw?

The plus side of hacking it an inch or two is:

Re: 1999 Saturn SL2 Fuel Filter replacement

Re: 99 SL2 engine rattle noise

I've had water pumps get loose and make a pretty horrid rattling sound. Check that and your idler pulley.

Re: 1999 Saturn SL2 Fuel Filter replacement

interesting, I guess I should have looked it up before I bought the filter. I did search and saw a couple posts with problems. I've installed more than a few of them and never had any issues. The...

Re: trying to decide between 2 saturns

I'd check em both out, those are really good prices. I just paid 2500 for my 97 with 89k. Then I sunk 1400 in parts into it to make it "perfect". To be fair 470 of it was for tires and alignment...
