Re: Bcm

If you don't plan to sell it then I wouldn't worry about it. Here in New York once a car hits 10 years of age the odometer doesn't even get reported on the title once it's sold. As long as you're not...

Re: Filament bulb to LED blub???

As far as I know it has nothing to do with L300 vs L200. 2000-2002 models use high beam as drl. 2003-2005 use low beam as drl. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that is how it goes.

Re: LW300 - 2003 Passlock System Question

The light is not supposed to be on solid. When the light is on solid it means a problem exist and the system is not protecting the car. And yes it can cause starting problems.

Re: Filament bulb to LED blub???

This is the inside of the stock projector. It does allow light thru that little opening. That opening is designed to throw light higher to illuminate road signs. It does produce glare and if you put...

Re: Filament bulb to LED blub???

So I just went outside and installed the led bulbs and reinstalled the drl relay. When turning the car on the lights flickered, but did not stay on. I'm sure all led bulbs are not the same so your...

Re: Filament bulb to LED blub???

Yes I have used H11 LED bulbs and as I said they suck. I bought 2 different pairs off Amazon just to make sure. One pair were advertised as 3500 lumen per bulb for $50. The second set I bought about...

Re: Filament bulb to LED blub???

First off...LED headlight bulbs are WORTHLESS in these cars. Aftermarket led just don't perform well at all. If all you want is the color they will be fine, but you're not gonna see *****. With that...

Re: Replacement Shifter and Parking Brake Boots

You can get parts from eBay or like I did from the local junkyard when I replaced my shifter.

Re: Common rust spots on the L series?

The 2 worst spots for rust that I can think of are the rear wheel wells and the front sub frame. It common to see these cars for sale nice and cheap because the sub frame has gotten weak from rust...

Re: Front end shaking upon fast acceleration.

Without actually looking at the car I'm guessing a bushing or mount. Something has deteriorated over time allowing the front end to wiggle under stress.

Re: Front end shaking upon fast acceleration.

Does it only shake from a stop or will it shake the same if you mash on the gas at any speed? Have you tried turning off the traction control to see if it shakes the same? Have you changed the spark...

Re: crazy trans problem

Sounds like you have a few issues. You don't mention miles or service history so that could be handy. As far as the wrench issue goes you should have the codes read and keep in mind that only a tech...

Re: 2002 Saturn L200 Ugly Headlights

It kills me, on every other forum the pic size is normal and here it's huge. I took the entire headlight apart, I cut off the glare shield and then made the center hole larger. I then installed a...

Re: 2003 l 200

I would have a new bcm installed by a dealer so that your mileage is kept. Also access to the bcm is thru the glove box opening so no need to remove the dash. Lastly ditch the led headlights. Led...

Re: dead engine :(

I don't know where you live, but search car-part.com and you should find many used engines. These little 2.2 motors can hit 300k easily with good maintenance.

Consider yourself correct. The tcm sits in the engine compartment on the passenger side.

Re: Hard shift after hard acceleration

You should get the code read. It could be an issue unrelated to the tranny. Perhaps at high rpm the mass air sensor is malfunctioning.

Re: Saturn l200(2003) disable keyless entry

I would have a new ignition and door/trunk locks installed. They could have made a copy of the key.
