Re: Parasitic Drain - electrical system

Just because the Battery is less then a Year Old, and Tests Fine, doesn't mean that it is Ok.

Honestly- if I was in your situation; I would take the battery back to where you bought it and swap...

Re: Fuel Gauge Question?

At this point- I'm not too worried about replacing the pump or the Sending Unit. The Saturn has over 208K miles on it- and has given me a solid 3 years of Commuting Service (well over 60K miles in 3...

Re: Fuel Gauge Question?

Yeah, that is a not so good place to stall out... I get what you are saying.

In 20+ years of ownership on these S-Series Cars, the current car- has been the most "Sensitive" on the Fuel Gauge;...

Re: Hesitation, Fuel Injector problem?

How long have you owned the car?

Has the car thrown codes before, for other issues in the past?

My recent issues back in October with my car misfiring and running like poop were attributed...

This is a question that may have already been answered before; but here goes.

I've owned my current Daily Driver, a 1999 SL; since April...

Re: Surge tank is problematic

You need to figure out how to get some of that water out of your system. You should be running a full on Antifreeze, with no dilution- especially at this point. If you aren't getting any heat, then...

Re: Surge tank is problematic

With the Coolant Tank full of frozen water now, I would suggest not running the engine.

You run the risk of doing major damage to the engine with this scenario.

You will probably have...

Re: Loss of power

Check the wires, as well as the aspect that Plugs be gapped at .040

If you would have codes for the O2 Sensors, they would show up with a code reader.

Is the car idling okay, or does it...

Re: Looking for a mechanic - New Here

I'm not anywhere near Texas; but what is the issue with your car?

If you have tools- these cars are pretty easy to work on.

No better time then right now, to start learning.

I started...

Re: Loss of power

For the record here- The ICM that I bought from Autozone, is a Duralast ICM. I replaced the NAPA ICM that was in the car- that looked like it was stamped with a 2008 manufacture date.

Just...

Re: Loss of power

Simply put- The Copper Plugs don't burn as hot as the Platinum or Iridium Plugs do. The S-Series engine is only a 1.9 Liter Engine, so it's not very big, and only 124 HP.

The Clutch being...

Re: Loss of power

Bosch platinum spark plugs are a No-No in a Saturn S-Series engine. They make the engine run too hot. You should change those out to standard NGK copper plugs

Re: Loss of power

Are you getting a burned fuel smell as well?
Ignition Control Module going bad can cause burned fuel smell, as well as hesitation and jerkiness...

Also, is this car an auto or manual?
What is...

Re: P0351 & P0352 after coil/icm cleaning

For the record- ICMs don't last forever.

About a month ago- I had a bad misfire and my car losing power. I didn't have codes 351 and 352; but the car was running like poop.

I swapped out...

Check a few trouble spots on your Saturn.
Also- what is the year, model, and mileage on...
