Re: can i get a quick rundown of causes of oil burning?

did you figure out what caused the valve to burn? if you didn't, you'll be repeating this project in the near future.

Re: SW2 Restarting Issues

Re: Twin Cam to Single Cam Swap for fuel economy.

i'll never understand why people are so against SOHC conversions. if it saves the car, what's the big deal?

Re: '97 SL sputtering/misfiring when on the gas at low rpm

while injector problems are a possibility, start with the easy stuff first. make sure the exhaust isn't restricted (remove the front O2 sensor to vent the exhaust system and go for a drive), test the...

Re: 97 sl2 shut off while driving

could you provide us with a recording of the noise? a tentative guess is a bad bearing in one of the accessories (alternator, a/c) or the idler/tensioner. the power steering pumps also tend to make...

Re: '97 SL sputtering/misfiring when on the gas at low rpm

sounds like you've got things mostly under control :) the fuel system cleaner is a good idea. the forum usually recommends techron.

have you tested the fuel pressure yet? the fuel filter probably...

Re: Need a 99 SOHC PCM

sounds like he's already got "everything he needs" for the complete SOHC swap. if the car is an automatic, hopefully "everything" includes the SOHC automatic transmission because the SOHC PCM won't...

Re: Need a 99 SOHC PCM

does the car have a manual transmission? if so, you can replace the fifth gear set with the set from a SOHC manual transmission. this will give you SOHC fuel economy on the highway without...
