Youíre making it way too hard. Changing the clutch is only a few hours job. Just separate the two and slide the transmission into the wheel well. No need to remove the transmission.

Thatís the way the throttle works. You canít pull it only the tb spring can.

The throttle cable is correct. Not sure about the clutch. It is more sensitive that some.

On the tech 2 there is an option for manual or automatic. Although Iíve never tried changing it.

Just the breather for the transmission. Not critical but putting the hose back on will prevent crap from getting in it.

Not sure if the 2000 differs from the 96 but on my 96 changing the tranny...

A matching computer is cheap. I just paid $20 on eBay. Just expand your search.

In theory when you get a whine you are supposed to pull a vacuum to force any air out. Iíve tried that with new aftermarket pumps but they always sound like jet engines. Iíve left a vacuum held...

Yep easy. Just remove the screw and pull the sheath off. Yes the spring is probably under a seat somewhere.

No mater how mangled up the button is if you weld it to the plastic lever its not going anywhere. Only regret I have with mine is that I welded the button upside down. Works fine but irritates me.

The problem now is getting it to happen. I've got a multimeter taped to my dash probing the TPS signal across the TPS ground. I'm waiting for a P0122 to be thrown or even a bad idle.

Only time a whine is expected and normal is if you buy an aftermarket pump. If you stick with junk yard pumps you should never get a whine.

Yea but we later discovered it was unnecessary to replace. Just glue the button to the plastic lever. You canít tell the difference. Did mine 5 years ago.

Drove around for 20 minutes and the problem never happened. Always works that way. Voltage measured at the pcm didnít vary from what the tech 2 reported and of course no cel or idle problems. Idle...

Looks like the ignition must be off for several minutes to get the slow voltage climb on the tps signal. If i cycle the ignition it goes right to 0.40.
