Well, I finally gave up y Ion...sort of. It was getting old, and not wanting to part with it, I spent roughly $7000 over 3 years getting it back to snuff. A couple of bumps along the way...as in...

Re: 2004 Ion trunk leak

For mold, there has to be some kind of organic material. I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep it dry and you should be ok.

Re: Traction Control won't turn off - failed e-test

[QUOTE=fdryer;2249802]Yes, you are correct. The ABS encompasses traction control. Without a working ABS, traction control cannot work. Traction control can be though of as the opposite of abs -...

Re: 2004 Ion trunk leak

You're right, you don't need to remove the bumper at all and it really isn't that difficult. I did mine and I still get a little water. Bad design...

Re: 2004 Ion trunk leak

It could be just the design of the vent. I get water as well. Not too concerned about it though.

Re: 2004 Ion trunk leak

From the inside. Just make sure the vent is tightly in place, and drive a couple of small screws into the top of the vent, not the metal body, on an angle, inwards, so the screws are tight against...

Re: Removing lights

I didn't say I had a problem with the cover. It is the lights I am having an issue with. I can't get them out and I am afraid to break them. Cover came off no problem.

Re: 2004 Ion trunk leak

i drove 2 little screws in the top to wedge it tightly against the body and it works and it looks like it was meant to be that way. No more water, anyway.

Re: 2003 Saturn Ion Service vehicle light

In Snagglepusses initial posts he says, "The problem I have is the service vehicle light is illuminated.". I am assuming he means the "check engine" light.

Re: Fixed knocking front suspension noise.

LCA bushings are a lot louder than what you are noticing. Have you checked to make sure that both top and bottom of the end links are secure? Could be U joints.

Re: 2003 Saturn Ion Service vehicle light

Re: is taking the oil pan hard to do off a 2.2 automatc? ? ? ? ?

Changing the oil when your Oil Life indicator comes on is more than enough. It takes in all driving conditions to give your oil it's full life. Going by it won't hurt anything and it will save you...

Re: Fixed knocking front suspension noise.

The brackets are not the issue. I went through all of this on my '06, and I replaced the bushings themselves. What many people do not realize, is that the rubber bushings may look perfectly ok, but...
