Re: Transmission cooler?
I'd say you're fine. I towed about that much from IL to VA through the mountains on one occasion.
I'd consider it if you plan on towing frequently and with near-max loads on long hilly trips..

As far as accident/tickets and red...Red is a common color and is on sportier cars. I'm sure if you look at modern numbers..more silver cars get tickets and in accidents..because everyone seems to...

Re: THAT light
I'm wondering if the indicator is somhow mandated.. since every vehicle I've seen has it.
I'm guessing the reason is something to do with car seats or small children? At least with the manual...

Re: Consumer Guide Reviews the Vue XR
I'd be surprised to see a Toyota or Honda dealer haggle on price. The local Honda dealer told me the average time for a CRV on the lot is about 3 days.

Re: Consumer Guide Reviews the Vue XR
GM powertrains are very reliable, as reliable as any out there. I don't buy the better because it's a Honda. Honda had alot of transmission problems.
Bottom line is that yes, the 08 is improved...

Re: Loss of cargo space
My point is numbers are numbers and can be deceiving..the dimensions of the floor is what is important for dog crates. I could get dog crates to fit in the VUE that wouldn't fit in a Equinox ...

It's not the best stuff out there, but if it was really that bad, there'd be alot more engine failures.
The leaks were caused by poor gasket design since it was only on a few engines.

Re: Does your Vue get praised?
A 2004-2007 V6er should be able to see their face for a bit...since they poo out at 108, unless you can break through the limiter with a downhill run :D

Re: Loss of cargo space
Congrats on the new VUE.
Did you try to put the crates in the 08?
I'm wondering how much of the numerical loss of cargo is from the more sloping tail.

Re: Insurance Rates for Vue Redline
Do they have a 1-800 number?
Or you can just get a couple of online quotes between your Ford and the Saturn..just to get an idea.
VUE insurance is pretty reasonable

As far as mileage numbers.. remember to comparing new rules with new rules.
The new rules for 2004-2007 V6 are 18/25 for FWD, 17/24 for AWD
It only looks like a drop of 1 city and 1 highway

My impression is that if you usually spec up your vehicles with options, then the price increase since many features are now standard.

Meguiar's has a new Quick Detailer for Wheels..I'm not sure how it's much...
