Re: Speedometer/Cruise Control Issue, 2007 Vue 5spd

For anyone who might stumble upon this thread later, I believe that with the help of my local shop, I've finally gotten to the bottom of this issue.

To recap: the best way I could describe the...

Re: Speedometer/Cruise Control Issue, 2007 Vue 5spd

Sorry it took so long to get back to you on this. I think I've isolated the main issue to the speedometer itself. Just this afternoon I noticed the speedo needle responding jerkily when I...

Re: Speedometer/Cruise Control Issue, 2007 Vue 5spd

This might explain why replacing the VSS might not have worked. I should've mentioned that my Vue doesn't have ABS.

I wonder if it has to do with the fact that there's extra effort required...

Speedometer/Cruise Control Issue, 2007 Vue 5spd

Recently I've encountered trouble keeping the cruise control engaged. When the cruise control is on and I'm going uphill, the cruise control will cancel itself suddenly. This is accompanied by the...

Re: How many miles?

2007 FWD 4 manual - bought it new, 61,500 miles and counting. The only major issue I had was a frayed shifter cable that kept the stick out of reverse a couple of months ago, which was replaced...

Re: Motor Trend: Penske Hopes to "Use a Competitor

After hearing all the horror stories about the VTi, I am extremely reluctant to trust any CVT, no matter what anyone says. I would presume that those who have actually experienced VTi issues...

Re: Motor Trend: Penske Hopes to "Use a Competitor

I just hope Mr. Penske keeps in mind that Saturn devotees don't really like CVTs. Hopefully the next-gen Vue, if it is based on a Nissan product, will come with a traditional six-speed auto instead....

Re: Help Test the New Site Polling Feature: Have You Gone on a Road Trip this Summer

Okay, so it wasn't summer, but it felt like it where we went. My gf and I went to Walt Disney World (her third time, my first). We started with a full tank in my Vue on our way out of Vermont and...

Re: Breaking News: Saturn to be Spun Off from General Motors, Brand to Return to Its

This sounds like a good news/bad news situation. The good news is that Saturn will return to its independent state, free to make and sell cars its way. The bad news is that this smacks a lot of Geo...

Re: Where Do You Get Your Saturn Serviced?

I used to have my girlfriend drop it off at the retailer that's just down the street from where she works...until it shut down abruptly about a month ago.

Since the nearest retailer now is...

Re: Freep: Next Saturn Aura to be Offered as Sedan Only

I'm somewhat disappointed as well that there won't be a wagon variant, but I'm not surprised either, considering how automakers would rather be building crossovers.

It remains to be seen whether...

Re: Oil Life Monitor -- How far have you gone on an oil change?

My OLM lit up for the first time just short of 9k. Mind you, this was with several road trips between VT/NH and VA in a short time frame.

I still find it rather odd because the OLM is supposed...

Re: I Applied for a Personalized Plate

I've also experienced how easy it is to get a plate in Virginia. I've also seen how it works in New Hampshire and Vermont as well.

In New Hampshire, first you check with the DMV web site to see...

Re: Do you park next to other Saturns?! WHY?!

When I lived in Mass. and had a '97 SL1, I'd try to park next to a coworker's '97 SL1 whenever possible. Our cars were both Forest Green; the only difference between our cars was the transmission...

Re: 2006 Ion QC 2.4 Break-in Mileage

My 2.4 has been giving me about 27-30 mpg after 2800 miles, depending on (a) whether I use 87 or 93 octane gas and (b) how long I'm stuck on Jefferson when I go home from work, which usually isn't...

Re: Saw Another 2.4 Sedan

when come back, bring pie.

Back to the topic at hand: my gf and I both drove manual VWs (mine for just a year between Ions, hers for four years) but ended up both getting automatic 2.4 Ion...

Re: SKY trade-ins

So far we've only received three trade-ins for our eight Skys sold so far. One was an '04 Sebring that we eventually sold through one of our sister stores. We also had a '98 Olds Aurora and a 2000...

Re: Dealer stickers - "packs"

At my retailer, they generally don't put extras on the cars. Those with addendum stickers are almost always DX cars from other retailers that did add those options.

Re: Worst Salesperson Ever?

I've only been selling Saturns for two months now, but I came in at a very opportune time at our retailer. We didn't have many sales consultants on the floor when I came on board, and due in part to...

I would have liked to have test-driven a QC with the VTi. At the time, though, I was looking specifically for a sedan that my mother could ride in, at least until my father could buy a car to...

For the record, I also had issues with the hood release cable. Mine was bent. I don't know why I didn't remember that. I would also like to mention that the issue, once fixed, hasn't come back. :)

Dizzy Location, Location, Location!

This past February, Vermont got its first, and only, Scion dealer. It's in South Burlington, on the same road as Vermont's only Saturn retailer. I think I've seen a grand total of one Scion on the...

Come to think of it, yeah, it's barely less than 1 gallon. Maybe if you factor in that little tiny bit at the bottom that won't come out when you run out, it may add back up to 1 gallon :D Usually...
